1. I can certainly vouch for this bass...because it was mine until recently! I recorded a couple of great tracks with it and had nothing but compliments from sound engineers wherever we went. Awesome instrument and I'm sure it's even better now that Kev has had it properly setup with a brass Just-a-Nut.

Somebody's going to be getting a very special bass.

2. Just traded my 2003 Warwick Streamer Stage II 5-string for Kev's 1990 Streamer Stage I 4-string.

An absolute pleasure to deal with, Kev was a gent throughout our joyfully straightforward negotiations and trekked all the way down to Laaaaaahndan to check and swap basses.

My new bass is fantastic, by the way. It's great to have a Streamer 4-string again, particularly one from the "classic" Warwick era. Can't wait to plug it in at tonight's rehearsal.

Thanks Kev!

This isnt midi is it?
If you're looking for a midi version specifically, I believe there's one for sale at The Gallery in Camden. It used to belong to Pino.

If I could offload my two Warwick's, I'd be all over this Wal. Always wanted one. Humph!

4. Last night I walked into our lounge to hear a faint, mournful song emanating from my bass-stand...

"It'll be lonely this Christmas
Without you to hold (me)
It ll be lonely this Christmas
Lonely and cold
It ll be cold, so cold, without you to hold (my super solid thru-neck and deliciously carved, resonant body)
This Christmas."

I'm heading to Cornwall for Christmas. Bass has no company. So cold. Poor bass. Bass will work for bee's wax.

5. C'mon folks, one of you has the opportunity to buy yourself the Christmas present EVER here.

Did I mention that this bass is able to be absolutely invisible to significant others - they never need know you bought it! How cool is that?

Seriously, somebody make me an offer here please - I'm itching to order my basslab!

6. Hi,

String spacing is 16.5mm. I'm based in North Acton, West London.

I'm out and about right now, so I'll have to measure the neck when I get home. I don't have callipers to measure depth, but I can tell you that it feels flatter than the current basses.

If you'd like to visit the bass, that can be arranged. Decent cup of tea to be had, too.

This is a simply superb bass and has done me proud over the last couple of years. I've had so many compliments from sound engineers and fellow bassists, but regrettably I need to turn it into a USA Fender Jazz Deluxe V.

Here's a Youtube clip of a track we recorded with this bass.

This bass isn't mint (it has a couple of dings here and there) and as is fairly common for the Just-a-Nut II, one of the retaining clips is missing, though the nut stays firmly in place thanks to string tension and two pins in the back that prevent any lateral movement. Some of the gold colour has also begun to fade from the hardware (through polishing, I think). I've tried to reflect all of these points in the photos.

It comes complete with the original tools, manual, hang tags, the end of a tin of Warwick wax and the Warwick/Framus branded cloth to apply it with. The only bit missing is the hard case.

I'd prefer a local sale, due to the case issue. I am prepared to ship, but I'll need to source a new hard case to send it in.

I bought it for £1300 in 2011 and that's what I'm looking for now. I'm open to a trade for a USA Fender Jazz Deluxe V, preferably with a rosewood board and block markers.

Any questions/offers, please give me a shout.

Cheers!

John
