Bought a Barefaced cab off Dave. Thoroughly excellent chap. Agreed to meet me halfway for the handover, and was really patient when I was an hour late. Bloody M25!
Thanks Dave, and very best wishes.

I bought a 112 and a Helix Stomp earlier this week. My first Impression of the Headrush wasn’t favourable, as everything sounded boomy, and there was little top end response. However, last night I turned off the speaker modelling on the Helix patches I was using, and the tones were a lot closer to what I was expecting - when playing solo. However, when playing with the band there was no low end presence/ ‘heft’!
is these something obvious I am missing, or is there a way of achieving a happy medium? I’m thinking that there must be as others seem very happy with this set up.
Thanks.

Hey there
does the bass have the lunilay dot markers
Yes it does.

It used to be 2, but now that I’m more minded towards 3, when it happens it tends to be 1.
Does that help?

Body shape reminds me of a Kubicki X Factor.

I am returning a faulty amp (Rumble 800 combo) to Thomann. Courier arranged for today. Turned up in a plain white van. Didn’t have the return label that Thomann said he would, couldn’t provide any type of receipt. “Sorry mate, I’m just standing in for the main driver”.
Sent him on his way without the amp. Now expecting collection tomorrow.
Glad I read this thread before he arrived. Thanks for all your contributions.

Looks mint! Steve Harris was also my inspiration for learning to play bass over 35 years ago now.
In fact I was having a bit of a rough time of things last week and ended up watching a few songs from Live After Death on Youtube which soothed my soul and took me back to being a wide-eyed teenage metal fan.
I met him once at the British Music Show in Earls Court in 1997 - I queued up at the Rotosound stand for ages to get an autograph, but was then too starstruck to say anything to him!
I had a very similar experience at a fan club event in 1989.

Got one just before Christmas. Sounded great. However, took it to rehearsal last night and it packed up after 20 minutes. Fuming is an understatement.
Back it goes!

Actually played a short set at my wedding, and never gave it a second thought.

A hard stare at their left hand, accompanied with the words, “I will cut it off!” normally works.
I was once in a band with a left-handed, chain-smoking keyboard player. Problem solved!

Is adjustable within the confines of what the bridge can achieve.
With saddles centred, Warwick say 16mm. TB suggests that it can be maxxed out to 17mm by adjusting the saddles as far as they'll go.
The bass is fitted with the Warwick 3d bridge. The manual suggests that the saddles can be moved sideways.

- bass ranges that don’t have a passive option.
- single ply pick guards.
- putting a Fender decal on a non-Fender bass.

I would say 16.5cm.

It’s worth it. I think both Andertons and Warwick released promo videos and it’s as smooth in real life as it is on the video.
It sounds just as good in passive mode too and the string spacing makes it easy to play.
I’ve actually thought about using Bartolinis on a future bass because of how nice they sound on the Warwick.
To me, getting this bass felt like moving from a moped to a super sports motorcycle. Possibly a sale I’ll live to regret, but there you go! -
I am looking to sell my 2021 Warwick Streamer LX5 Ltd edition (69/100) Pro Series, Team built made in Germany. It was bought on this forum in 2022.
Body wood is Korina, neck wood is roasted flamed maple with Ekanga stripes. Fingerboard is Pau Ferro. Pickups are Bartolinis. The bass comes with the original Warwick RockBag and all accessories.
It is a great bass in excellent condition, and super light at 3.7kg. There are just a couple of small marks on the bottom side of the body near the strap button and jack socket.
Price is £1,350. Collection is preferred. However, I would be happy to meet up within a reasonable distance (I am based in North Essex).
Not looking for trades. Sorry!

Me and my friends started a band at school. I couldn’t play anything, but had a Casio keyboard that had drum patterns on it. It was nearly 2 years later I bought a bass to secure my place in the band!
I would advise anyone to join a band as soon as possible. It’s a great way to learn.

In 1985 I was mostly listening to Iron Maiden. I had Saxon’s Crusader album on cassette, and the first two Marillion albums, but that was about it.

Saw him at the Albert Hall about 20 years ago. At the time a big deal was made of him still going at 75. Not so uncommon now!
That gig also included one of the best drum solos I have ever seen, played on just a snare with brushes.

The best solution the last band I was in had was some large, heavy duty metal pegs that clipped the backdrop onto whatever was available.
Stands always take up space and regularly collapse!
