I've had it valued at about £1200 by Thwaites, but I'm open to offers.
Collection prefered, but delivery can be negotiated.
Cheers all

Thanks Dougal, well I have got two thumpers, one screamer, and a delicious twin (AJS, Matchless, James, and a Suzuki).
;-D
I've heard back from Thwaites and am pleasantly suprised; it's worth about £1200. Not bad.
What do youse all think?
Thanks for that, will call them.
Luckily the father in law to be plays bass guitar so I can keep my hand in.
My fiancé must be very understanding, what with my motorbikes and the bass!
Good morning all,
I've got a 3/4 Romanian Double Bass that I got new in '93ish. It's got a solid front, and is in pretty good nick. We bought it from Thwaits in Watford, and have still got the receipt.
As the description says I'm getting married and really need the money, also I live in a shoe box and haven't played properly in over ten years.
Are there any web sites / places that I could go to for a valuation?
Thanks in advance
Paul
Hi,
My father-in-law to be has pointed me in the direction of this forum.
I must admit that it's been a very long time since I last played the double bass, but I'm sure I can still knock out a dodgy version of the 12 bar blues
