i have the SR1805, so a very similar bass, i believe they are made in indonesia not japan that is where the prestige are made. the fit and finish is superb. the neck is a joy to play and really confortable, no sharp fret ends. The neck is slightly different to the standard SR necks but still slim and fast (the specs say they are the same though). The nordstrand big singles have a great sound and plenty of variation available. its light so long playing sessions are easy. Ive said it before, and i'll say it again, if theses were USA or german made youd easily expect to pay way more as the quality is that good.
love playing mine even after a having it for just over a year it still gives me the horn -
probably but would depend on music style i think

and vic gets his chance to shine but underpins it all really well, love this kind of stuff should listen to it a bit more -
i actually think modern math metal/djent/tech prog metal is amazing, YMMV

that website says the custom series upwards have graphite reinforcement bars in their necks, would imagine the more standard one have something similar. nice looking basses btw
infact if you go into the options menu it says even the standard neck have graphite reinforcement, so good to go http://www.roscoeguitars.com/options/options.html -
colour is growing on me, though it does look like its made of rubber, which would be good if you dropped it

ah the good old impulse buy, fortunately im too poor to even contemplate it let alone go looking
was there not pic of it on facebook you could have snapped? -

Deliverance by Opeth. Huge fan of Martin Mendez's bass playing - dude is a genius.

hah was listening to that on my way into work, awesome stuff -
as we dont get to play much i'll play anywhere that will take us, i just like gigging, the money not so important as its generally not much anyway

Probably Les Claypool. Although a large part of that is because I'm not talented enough to play his lines, nor do I play in a band where I could get away with as outrageous a bass sound.
Still, Primus exist and for that I am happy.

yep what first came to mind for me, love his tones but just wouldnt work in our band -

welcome
you'll be fine adding another speaker cab at around 300w, what you have to be careful of is the ohm rating, ashdown cabs are normally rated at 8ohm, and your ABM head will run 500w at 4ohm, and about 300w at 8hm.
If you pair two 8ohm cabs together to your head their combined ohm rating will be 4ohm thus getting the full 500w.
the ABM cabs are better made than the mag ones and i beleive the drivers are a little better, ABM cabs are made from plywood and mags from chipboard. will you notice any difference? possibly but your audiences wont
ive been using a Mag 4x10 for about 7 years now and its great
hope that makes sense, just never run two 4 ohm cabs together into your head as that will make the ohm rating 2ohm and would blow up your amp (or something like that) -
thats an absolute stunner, good work that man

I was only guessing
But I know SS has chromium content.
Just found this on the internetweb...
Stainless steel is a metal alloy, made up of steel mixed with elements such as chromium, nickel, molybdenum, silicon, aluminum, and carbon.
Iron mixed with carbon to produce steel , is the main component of stainless steel.
Chromium is added to make it resistant to rust.

Pelagial by The Ocean, cant get enough of it, simply awesome technical progressive metal

i quite enjoy the challenge of learning new songs even if i dont particularly like them, but i get sick of playing songs i dont like after a while as they then become a chore. but i get annoyed if i turn up to rehearsal and no-one else has learned it
-
and another for the polytune clip, excellent and very accurate

It depends on the chrome content, doesnt it ? Forks wont be that great a quality
Yeah that string spacing could even be too tight for Warwick Davis

just goes to show what my knowledge of metals is -

It's stainless steel
even the forks in my drawer have some corrosion on them
it could be titanium but i'm not digging it, string spacing is tight and thats coming from someone who likes ibanez -

Hi everyone. This is great. Thank you all for your feedback!
How similar is the nut profile to a Fender jazz? Their website says it's 38mm at the nut (a standard jazz being 38.1 I believe)- how true to form is this, does it play fast?
I think fast would be a good way of describing their necks yes
