Hey everyone,
So, My name is Sam, I've been playing electric guitar for about 4 years now, but not a whole lot. I've been playing acoustic since Christmas eve 2010. I play my acoustic a load more than electric.
Due to me having a slight muscle deficiency in my left arm (referred to as "erbs palsy" if you wanna know what it is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erb's_palsy) I am not very good at playing chords and stuff, but in the past few weeks I moved to Yorkshire and have found a new way I can play my guitar and for it to sound a lot better. Basically now I do a lot of sliding/tapping with my right hand whist holding a basic chord and I'm gonna stick with doing that cause it's the sound I like to listen to anyway
Me and a friend (he's signed up on this forum) started a band up a few days ago, we are going for the "Math Rock" sound. We are called "Glisten" and we hope to have an EP out soon, probably post it on bandcamp.com or something.
Thanks for taking time to read this
