NAS Bass Posted December 8, 2022 Share Posted December 8, 2022 (edited) Fantastic EQ from the late 80's vintage 'Brown Series' of Japanese built Boss bass pedals. (Early 90's manufacturing moved to Taiwan) These are quite sought after, mainly due to the better EQ points (62Hz, 125Hz, 250Hz, 500Hz, 1kHz, 2kHz and 4Khz + level) than on the current model which has a huge gap between 800Hz and 4.5k This one has had a mod to cut out any hiss and the person who did this also replaced the LED with a blue one. The previous owner had this done and I believe it was a common mod with these. A quirk of these is that they work fine with 9v or 12v. The operating LED works with 9v battery and 12v adaptor. No LED with 9v adaptor but operates. Lots of forum/internet posts about this (usually people thinking the LED is broken). I've always used battery which lasts ages.
