Jazzanovobass
I purchased my Ibanez upright last year. I am extremely pleased with it. I did find the tone a bit twangy for an upright, and so did the band. I bought myself a set of Rotosound " 88 long scale standard gauge" which have a great lineage. These strings were designed in the 60's and have found their way onto albums such as Sgt Peppers. The al=mount of 'mellow' these strings have given to the bass elicited a comment from the drummer at rehearsal "now I have something to drum to". I am pretty happy with them, so got a reserve set too.
