Dudgeman Posted December 31, 2018 Share Posted December 31, 2018 Hi all I run a Lehle dual to split my signal to two different loops that exit to 2 different amps. I have used this for years with no issues. I recently changed my board around ..in loop A from lehle I have ehx pitchfork ..T rex bloody Mary...boss Os2 ..mxr micro chorus and a nobels trem running into Alesis microverb3 out to Peavey valve king...(using octave up on PF to add guitar tone) loop B goes BSW...Animato..big muff...Sheehan drive.. spectra comp...amp. Everytime I activate the loops on lehle I get a loud pop through guitar amp..I did research and thought this might be a voltage build so bought a Lehle dc filter... I have tried it everywhere but it doesnt seem to help. The popping happens whether there is a bass plugged in or not and it happens whether I activate A...B or both...the popping only comes through guitar amp...not bass amp! Both loops have individual power bricks but they are daisy chains (same as used before with absolutely no issues)and I have also tried running a completely seperate power supply to the lehle...didn't make any difference either. I have contacted lehle but haven't heard back yet. Anyone got any ideas? When it is all activated it sounds absolutely awesome but I dont need the guitar amp all the time...just used behind guitar solos and on some of the more riff based stuff we are doing.. but I cant use it live as the pop is that loud Anyone got any ideas on how i can track down the issue or resolve...thanks and a happy New Year to you all. Sir Spence Posted December 31, 2018 Share Posted December 31, 2018 I’m no expert, but It does sound like DC When I've built pedals in the past, you run the signal through a resistor to stop this kind of pop - suspect a failing component (resistor or cap) in the chain? I could come from the Lehle or the amp, so suggest you test and see if you can reproduce with one of them and not the other to narrow it down? I suppose I can try the switcher into the bass amp and see if it still does it. Is there a simple way of testing each pedal to see if there is an "issue" pedal in the chain without physically removing it....or does the fact that the popping occurs when both loops are activated lead to there being a larger problem than just a single pedal?
