Pedal power supply options - 40V pedals?

Putting together my first pedal board and I'm after a power supply that can power my power hungry 40v Electro-Harmonix Frequency Analyzer (as well about 5 or 6 standard 9v pedals).

So far the only option I can find is the rather pricey and hugely sized Cioks Ciokolate which using a doubling cable to combine 24v & 15v outputs can produce 39v.

Bit more in my price range is the Strymon Zuma Power Supply which combining two 18v outputs would give me 36v.

Has anyone ever tried powering a 40v pedal with just 36v? If so did you notice a substantial difference in functionality missing those extra 4v?

Thanks,

Pete
