Ash-Walnut Ash-Maple is a combo Mike really likes, and I do, too. This bass has lots of growl and snap and low-mid authority. The B-string is the best out of any MTD I've had. Extremely good playability, sits well in a mix, lots of attack... This is the MTD to buy if you need one that will also work for rock and blues. Since I'm a gospel bassist now, I'm keeping my gospel-voiced MTD and selling this as I'm relocating for work reasons.
