4low Posted July 22, 2014 Share Posted July 22, 2014 (edited) I am selling my Marleaux Votan XS 5, a J-type 5-string built by german luthier Gerald Marleaux. The XS is the updated version of the Votan, which features Delano Xtender pickups. The XS has two Delano JSBC single coils, for a more traditional J-sound. It is also a little smaller and lighter than the original Votan. Gerald calls the color "Ivory Green" - basically a Vintage White with a subtle "green-blueish" tint... The bass comes with two pick guards: the one shown in the pictures is black, the second one is a grey-blueish tortoise. Specs: - 34" scale - string spacing at the bridge is 19 mm - one-piece Dibetou body - bolt-on, one piece maple neck with rose wood fingerboard - 22 frets plus "zero fret" - 2 Delano JSBC single coils - 2-band EQ, active/passive, with passive tone control - chrome hardware - weight is only 3.8 kilos! - Excellent condition, except for one small ding above the pickguard I will be happy to take more pictures on request. The bass comes with original Marleaux gig bag (made by Canto) and tools. Located near Munich Germany...
