Connecting MOTU 828 to Focusrite Saffire Liquid 56 via ADAT

Evening all, just after a little preemptive trouble shooting.

I've got a session this weekend at a studio I've used before, they have the Focusrite hooked in all the time.

I've found that (think I've got this right) I can run my battered MOTU 828FW as an AD converter into the Focusrite by rerouting the outputs to ADAT (no problem with that, step by step is on the MOTU site), giving me 16 channels.

Will I need to reconfigure the Focusrite at all? It's not mine but I don't think there would be a problem if I needed to assign tracks 9-16 to the ADAT input...which is what I assume I might possibly need to do?

Not a big problem if it doesn't work but always nice to have options.

Thanks
