Hi

My senor student has finally arrived .got them to fit some innovation 140rb rock a billy strings and lower the action for me. I am really excited about this new sound even though i can hardly play it. I did read somewhere on this forum to only practice for around 15mins at first then put it down and come back for another 15mins and hour or so later.well i have broke that rule having just played .......well tried to play for about 2hrs solid and i can tell you i am knackered now and going to bed for a rest lol.
1 quick question for you all is there a rock a billy learner dvd anyone has a copy of ?if not i don’t mind buying new but whats the best one to buy?. i thought my first fumble with my db went ok tonight but i would like to make sure i am not picking up any bad habits .

Hi Richard
just had a look and found this lady who teaches in Hull :- double bass player-double bass player Lisa Featherstone began lessons with the music service while at Bricknell Primary school. Like Gay-Yee, she first joined the Training Orchestra and moved through the various levels. On leaving Newland School for Girls, Lisa studied at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester and then embarked on a freelance playing career. Lisa is now the bass player for pop star Katy Melua and has toured, extensively in Europe, the USA and Canada, a few quick shots of her playing at- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a--iTS-5aMc contact her at- http://www.musicteachers.co.uk/teacher/7a3500f48c64c712719c. hope this helps, let us know how you get on!
