SOLD Guild CV-1 US made all solid auditorium acoustic

Recommended Posts

SOLD

I've two Guild 6 string acoustics and can't justify keeping both so up for sale is this one, close call with this marginally the better sounding but the other's neck, nut width and larger body is better fit for me. Plus the other is rare so possibly an investment (eventually).
Vintage F-40 body, patented Guild Neck Block System, solid spruce top, solid Indian rosewood back and sides, lacquer finish, bone nut and saddle, ivoroid bindings, Madagascar rosewood fingerboard and bridge, pearl logo and new “G” shield, plus abalone dot inlays.
1 1/4 width nut and fairly fat neck, very nicely appointed and finished without being too bling.

It's stamped as used, Fender dumped a load of these on the market (mostly sold through ebay in the US) when they closed the tacoma factory and discontinued the conteporary series so it's more of a new old stock rather than a blem or second.

Apart from the used stamp and a very slight lacquer crack where the neck binding meets the neck around the 17th fret, treble side it's pretty much mint.

I fitted a b-band A2.2 dual source system, there's a slightly hotter signal on the high E from the undersaddle piezo so the saddle may need adjusting or replacing (pos high spot?). It's useable and I've gigged with it as is.

OHSC included and I'm happy to ship within the UK. Bank transfer or paypal with buyer covering fees good.

Price wise the RRP on these was £1500+, I'll be listing it on eBay at [s]£800[/s] £750 or best offer. Off Ebay price [s]£700ono[/s] £650.

Trades wise I'm ampless at the moment so a smaller combo or narrow form head of equivalent value (or less plus cash) would be of interest.

Trying to thin the herd guitar wise but try me I might be tempted, nothing modern though.

Here's a good video of one.

Last bump, it's up on ebay but I'm still open to sensible offers. If I haven't had any interest by Friday I'll just let the auction run.
