untune Posted May 4, 2011 Share Posted May 4, 2011 Hi everyone, my mate is selling his Ashdown Fallen Angel guitar amp and is trying to raise money for an Orange that he's after, since he's downsizing his rig after moving into a flat: [i] Ashdown FA60 head - [b]£180[/b] Ashdown FA60 head + Crate 4x12 celestion cab - [b]£350[/b] 60 watt, 2 channel all valve head. Includes foot switch. Clean channel, Overdrive channel with foot switchable gain boost, 2 independent master volumes as well as a volume on each channel. 16 built in foot switchable DSP effects, with a stand alone reverb. As the name suggests this head is geared towards hard rock/ metal players. The over drive is really crunchy and raw sounding and with the gain boost can get really thick and dirty. The clean channel is really nice for a rock amp, and when you add some of the built in chorus, it sounds really thick and rich. The head is a very good all rounder, but ideally suited to a rock player. I am happy to sell the head on its own, or pair it with a celestion loaded crate 4x12 cab. The cab is in full working order, but shows some cosmetic signs of being a gigging amp. Although Crate isn't exactly a marshall, you cant fault the sound of this cab. Its solid build and casters make it ideal for gigging. The celestion speakers really scream but keep a nice punchy bottom end which sounds nice and heavy, but without sounding muddy.
