I hadn't realized the difference a subwoofer could make when listening to music before I bought this. I've got some information from the Gale site: "A substantial 55 Watt amplifier and heavy duty 8 " woofer give the Storm 8 its surprising weight and scale meaning this perfect 30cm cube complements either hi-fi or home cinema components and can be positioned very discreetly in any listening environment.
