CPBassman Posted April 12, 2011 Share Posted April 12, 2011 Hi folks, After much deliberation I have taken the plunge and bought myself what is quite possibly my dream bass. She's a 1975 Fender Precision (black on black - maple) and sounds phenomenal. She is totally original , my only worry is that the neck is heavily relic'ed. The owner must have worn some heavy duty hand jewelery is all I can figure out for the level of wear. I'm loving this bass and want to use it for regular gigging. Do you guys gave any tips o'r do's and dont's for these old and battered road dogs. All comments greatly appreciated. I've just given her a once over with Gerlitz polish and bought her a new Fender deluxe plush leather case. Pics to follow.
