bj_rocke Posted February 6, 2011 Share Posted February 6, 2011 I got a Peavey 5150 mk1 for sale or trade from my guitar equipment collection. It comes with a flightcase which was custom made for it. It has the 2 KT88's and 2 6l6's valve configuration mod where the JJ KT88's are in the outside sockets and the JJ6L6's are in the inside sockets which gives you even more low end thunder and a very fat and punchy all round tone. All i know about this mod is that the owner before me had it done and that everything is matched and it sounds like no other 5150!! Its been gigged alot and has wear on the metal corners. if the metal corners were replaced it would look as good as new. sometimes the power/standby lights dont work, but this doesnt effect the amp in any way. The base of the handle and the top air vent plastic have been painted silver in the past. this was just to be able to tell it apart from another 5150 we had in the band.
