How cheap is a cheap tuner? i have the korg pitchblack and as a 'back up' i have one of those cheap behringer ones. its total crap really and if the korg broke i would use the guitarists polytune not the behringer, it tunes ok, its just slow if you wanted to do it inbetween songs. i'll swap you it for 4 cans of guinness :)

  3. In my previous band, we used to take ages in between songs, the lead guitarist is paranoid about tuning and had to check in between every song. im in my current band with him now and i told him to get a polytune and that sorted his problem. I think in the first few gigs everybody is a bit nervous about starting the next song incase everybody isn't ready, but that goes with practising. In the previous band aswell we used to practise in a bedroom as we had a drum machine (even more of a pain in the arse than a real drummer IMO) in the bedroom we would sit in a circle and you could hear everyone, then when it came to a gig it would sound complety different and the parts i would normally take my cue from i couldn't hear. now we practise in a 'live enviroment' in a studio so it doesnt differ much from the gig in sound.

    That drum kit scares me.

  5. i have that beringher pedal and mines awful, have to fret the strings at the 12th fret most of the time for it to be picked up, and then when i plug my bass in to the guitarist polytune its not properly in tune. it works ok with guitar though but its made out of plastic and anything that could fall of it has fell of it. i borrowed a pitchblack last practise an for 50quid im going to go for one of them.

  7. Bump with Pics, note on the last pic the power input looks a bit funny, its been like this since i got it. i think its just been pushed in a bit to hard, still works fine. it has 6 outputs 2 are a stereo pair, with the other four you can assign one drum to a different output, so you could have bass drum coming out of one and a snare the other so its a lot easier to mix or add an effect to one of the drum sounds.

  8. I have a Danelectro Honeytone mini amp, runs off a 9v battery and it sounds great, not as small as the vox mini but sounds a lot better i think, costs bout 30quid

  9.
Hi Soy. Sorry about this but I'm old and pretty ignorant with all this interweb stuff. I have a Paypal account but I've hardly ever used it and I'm not sure how you get to pay into it - any tips? Once the money is transferred I'll pack up the amp in its original carton and then pack that inside a bigger box so I know it will reach you safely. £125 all inclusive please. Thanks, Pete.
i would just need the email address set up with your paypal account then i can transfer the funds across to you

  10. Hello I used to have a Laney RB-5 which was alright till it melted in a fire, now I played on an ashdown EB12 evo ii last night and I really liked it. I should be getting money back from the insurance for my laney and I have a bit more money so i could afford the 12" version, and I was thinking i could put a 2x10 or 1x15 underneath it if we start playing bigger gigs.

My question is would I be better of saving up a bit more money and getting the 15"? Is there a noticeable difference using the 15" version?

The ashdown is defiantly the amp I want, just I’m a bit of a newbie when it comes to equipment so I’m just not sure how much off a difference there is between them (other than the price) would really appreciate any advice you guys could give me

    Thanks
