I bought a guitar about a year into playing bass, I use it mainly as a songwriting tool, and it's useful to know what's going on the other side of the stage.

I've been to the Bristol SC twice with a guitarist friend (he was looking for a Schecter). I thought it was really good, the first time I went there the selection was massive, and the prices pretty cheap, the guys in there were pretty cool as well, I just asked to play some stuff and he left me to it. The second time I went was pretty much the same, perhaps a slightly smaller selection. This time I played on 4 'Wicks and the guy didn't seem to mind that I wanted to try the different models. I hope to go there sometime soon now I've got a fair wad of cash.

Haha yeah.

I use Warwick straplocks on my Yammy, they were easy to put on and seem sturdy enough, and the screws matched the Yammy's exactly.

Hello, my name is Andrew (or Roo), I'm 17 and I've been playing bass for just over 3 years. My main axe is a Yamaha RBX JM2, although I've also been using a fretless (Vintage V940fl) on some songs with my bands. My rig is an Ashdown ABM 300 head and 2x10 cab, with various effects that are sparsely used. I play in two bands, one is "Atonal" (think Tool mixed with Isis with a hint of Dream Theater) and the other is "Twig" (alterna-pop?).
So hello
(shameless plugs)

Warwick Corvette, I have enough money but I don't know if I can really justify having another bass...
Also an extension cab for my rig would be cool, or a chorus pedal, or a compressor.

Hey I was just wondering what the control configuration was, it's passive right?
