1. Just remembered I didn't leave you any feedback for the 1984 BC Rich Eagle you sold me in May!

Top guy, couldn't ask for more really. Would buy from him again without hesitation. Thanks Alex.

That doesn't look at all bad to me. What's the deal with the tuners? The picture shows two missing, and only one tuning ear on the remaining two. Are all four tuners complete and present? I will need these.

Cheers

Ahh sorry Geoff, I didn't realise you needed those, the necks purely available because I stole lots of hardware from the bass for another one. So basically, no tuners.

Chris.

Holy moly, that pickguard is something else.

4. Hello all, for sale is my Danelectro reissue. I bought this about a year ago, played it infrequently and now it has been on my wall for about the last 7 months.

Newer models retail at around £230 so I'm looking for about [s] £140[/s] £120 for this (or as near as I can get!)

There are a couple of chips on the back of the headstock but otherwise the guitar is like new. Unfortunately I don't have a case to ship it in, however, the guitar will be securely boxed up with ample packing (also availible for collection.) Comes strung with a fresh set of Ernie Balls (can't remember the gauge - sorry!) I'd be happy to answer any more questions you may have. I'm posting the guitar here first ahead of Gumtree or the 'bay as I know it would be going to a good home.

Specification:

Body: Masonite, wood frame
Neck: Maple, bolt on
Fingerboard: Rosewood
Scale: 25” / 635mm
Frets: 21
Tuners: Enclosed, adjustable
Bridge: Chrome die-cast, six saddles, adjustable
Pickups: 2 x Lipsticks®, alnico magnets, 3-way selector

Chris.

Hiya, yes sounds interesting. Couple of questions though...

Does this model have a painted headstock? If so, what colour?

What is the mm width of the heel of the neck (where the screws join it to the body)?

And what are the centres between the fixing holes in the neck? Should be pretty standard but just need to make sure :)

If you could PM some pictures, would be great thanks.

Cheers

Hi again Geoff,

The headstock is painted, it's a very dark metallic grey, sort of a gunmetal colour (as per the pic!) The heel width is 60mm across and 29mm deep including the fretboard. The distance between the screw holes measure 38mm in the width and 52mm in the height. There are a few dings around the edge of the headstock and some light thumbnail marks in the back of the neck, I've tried to photograph them the best I can. They don't effect the playability at all though and there's no fret wear whatsoever.

6. Hi Geoff,

I have a Squier Jazz neck (38mm nut, [s]21[/s] 20 frets) from a deluxe precision special availible if you're still looking for something. Straight as an arrow and fast to play. Would be about £35 shipped. Let me know if you're interested, I can send you some pictures and more details.

Chris.

double checked it, still looks like a jag, but made by this guy http://www.dubreuill...r.com/bass.html

Wow, the jazz on that site looks sleek!

Squier humbuckered jaguar with extra pick up ?

Looked like some kind of non-reverse thunderbird to me, didn't really get a good glimpse though.

They never give the bassist enough camera time, they didn't allow the bass solo!

9. Least favourite? Perhaps somebody like Vic Wooten. No doubt he can run rings round most of us, his music is just not my cup of tea. Great work ethic and philosophy though.
