I like it (A LOT) but, what about cover the p/up (neatly) with black electric tape, then live with it......
This may make your mind up. IMO looks great. -
One of these, https://www.amazon.com/Chrome-Bass-Bridge-Gotoh-201B-4/dp/B019J7T0NW goes straight on in existing holes.
Nice bridge too, you would have to search for a UK seller, or ebay. -
Another PF fan, my fave band of all time and I also think Animals is by far the best.
-
I will measure mine tomorrow but I have a feeling it is a touch smaller.
-
If you mean CV P then yes they are the same.
-
How about this Vintage lined fretless, I know it's sunburst but IMO it's a fantastic fretless, I used to use it in a reggae band but dont now. pm me if interested, cheers.
-
I have an 3 ply Allparts black pearle one spare if your interested, looks good on white precisions IMO
Pm me if your interested, cheers -
I have a CV P and a Matt Freeman P and have put Gotoh bridges on them both using same method as dave bass5, with no problems.

Just a note; the plate is darker in colour than picture shows due to the camera flash, as can be seen the fiesta red looks pink but is actually red!
Also p+p is free. -
I bought this black pearl plate recently but not needed now, fits USA, Mex, Squier CV etc. perfectly.
Looks great on Black, white, red, blue just abour any colour P really.
Cost was £20 ish
Asking £15 can post -
Take a look at this vid;

I'm not saying classic vibes are the best basses in the world, far from it, but you can get a fantastic tone from them (I have two)
....during gigs, a few people have come closer for a look at the make and comented favorably on the sound. -
Buy a Squier classic vibe or vintage modified, really great basses for the money........preferably same or similar colour to your old one, get rid of said old one and just pretend its the same bass.
Don't rush into spending the rest, it could go on lessons an amp, a treat for the other half or even towards a trip away, you'll be in her good books! -

It is now sadly (although I do still quite like the look of the 2t). The current model has 4 knobs - VVT & 4 way selector - with the Jack socket moved to the side so I'd say this is the previous model.

Yes, previous model, bought new 2012, the newer satin model plays nice, but I love mine. -
Hi, fancy a swap for this lined fretless? cheers.
-
Heres mine, not sure about Stingray tones, but the Jazz AND Precision tones are wonderfull. Mine sounds like a Turbo Precision with both pickups on.
-
Fancy a swop for a lined fretless jazz neck?

and I bet the rest of the band never even noticed you had a new bass

I have set up a few different precisions for friends over the past year or so, I have always used them at band practice once (with there permission) before I gave them back.
There was a black one, white one, cream one, natural one, sonic blue one, three different sunbursts and also used my black and fiesta red ones AND none of the band except one member ever noticed anything different! -
Here's one for ya...

Saw him at Port Vale 1981. One of the greats. Love his use of harmony. Canadian Rock, err, rocks!

....Me too. love his music -
Yeah, BTW forgot to say, IMO the Vintage Stingray copies sound nothing like a MM.

I put quarter pounders in my Matt Freeman, made me realise how good the originals were/are, took the QP's out and sold them.
