  1. Take a look at this vid;

    I'm not saying classic vibes are the best basses in the world, far from it, but you can get a fantastic tone from them (I have two)
    ....during gigs, a few people have come closer for a look at the make and comented favorably on the sound.

  2. Buy a Squier classic vibe or vintage modified, really great basses for the money........preferably same or similar colour to your old one, get rid of said old one and just pretend its the same bass.

    Don't rush into spending the rest, it could go on lessons an amp, a treat for the other half or even towards a trip away, you'll be in her good books!

    It is now sadly (although I do still quite like the look of the 2t). The current model has 4 knobs - VVT & 4 way selector - with the Jack socket moved to the side so I'd say this is the previous model.

    Yes, previous model, bought new 2012, the newer satin model plays nice, but I love mine.

    and I bet the rest of the band never even noticed you had a new bass ;)

    I have set up a few different precisions for friends over the past year or so, I have always used them at band practice once (with there permission) before I gave them back.

    There was a black one, white one, cream one, natural one, sonic blue one, three different sunbursts and also used my black and fiesta red ones AND none of the band except one member ever noticed anything different!
