  1. Hi, I am Bobby. 60yo at this posting. I picked up bass as a hobby about 4 or 5 years ago. And I am loving it. Nothing like the feel and the sound of bass. Played Tuba in band, so when I had to choose guitar or bass, hey. I have never gigged or played with anyone. I need to. I am at that level I can follow a chord progression, know my triads and pentatonic scales, know the fretboard pretty well, have pretty good rhythm. I just need to jam with some folks. I don't have anything expensive, Schecter Silhouette Extreme-4 and an Ibanez SR505E. I use a Fender Rumble 100 to practice. I play most every day. I have a few songs under my fingers for the most part, Don't Stop Believing (why I started playing), Have you ever seen the rain, Burning for you. But I like jamming to backing tracks mostly.
  2. I have a strange intonation issue I have not seen before I hope someone can explain to me. I have a Schecter Stiletto Extreme-4 that I love playing. It is the easiest to play bass I have owned. I am very much an amateur. Recently I noticed my intonation was off on the E-string, so I adjusted it using the bridge adjustment so that the open and 12th were both in tune. The problem now is every note from G to D is flat. I don't understand how this can even happen, unless maybe it does this if the neck is bowed backward? To add more strangeness, the A-string is a little like this. D-string is fine and so is the G. Which makes me wonder if there is a twist in the neck. I have not measured anything yet. That is next, maybe just a complete setup is needed? Any ideas? Thanks
