  1. Makes sense. Maybe they pointed to MM, as it has colored wires and would be easier to identify. As P has two black, two whites. Not sure, and they didn't elaborate. But I'm happy as long as it is working now Here she is, finally, in all her glory!
  2. So, thought I leave this here for anyone in the future looking for an answer. I contacted EMG directly, but they were closed for thanksgiving, so only got a response back. They told me, that the culprit in here would be MM pickup, rather than P. Was advised to swap green and red cables on the MM connector. Using a needle you can release cable pins, swap places and connect back. Out of phase issue is fixed and it was a fairly quick and simple thing to do (had to ask my wife to use her little fingers to swap the cables, hehe) Attaching some pictures if explanation isn't clear enough. Picture 3 shows them using a screwdriver to flip the locking mechanism up. Cheers!
  3. You've been most helpful Martin! Off to electronics store to look for terminal blocks! Thanks again!
  4. Hey Martin, Tried flipping the pins, but I'm getting a hum and overall scratchy/distorted sound. But it seemed like the out of phase sound was gone, when blended with bridge pickup - so something was right hehe. I have borrowed a soldering iron from a friend, but have never used it in my life. Guess I need to give it a shot. Any quick tips on that? I can logically understand that when desoldering those wire I should avoid that solder dripping on the pot, etc. Thank you so much!
  5. Hello all! Really need your help on this one. I'm having an issue of pickups being out of phase - on their own they sound as should, no buzz or noise. If blended together - there is only hi-mid/treble content left. I have searched on google and in forums. Couldn't find an answer that would really help me. My understanding from answers is that hot and ground wire should be switched on P pickup and that it help most of the individuals who asked for a solution. Well, I'm using EMG system, not really versed in electrical stuff too, and I'm just stuck. Before contacting EMG for support I thought I'll pop here. Everything is passive. Pickups are - EMG GZR and EMG MMHZ, going to a balance pot and to volume. Please let me know if you need a picture of specific part from specific angle, bass is dismantled near me, so I can take it any minute. Thank you all in advance!
