I know this thread is 15 years old, but I just stumbled upon a Goodfellow base that has the serial number 0218 on the back of the head stock. There is no wooden button on the tuners but an engraved G. I have not been able to physically look at the base yet, but will inspect the bridge for any sort of stamping or engraving of Goodfellow. Any advice on what else to look for? I’m scared to take the neck off in front of the seller as not to spook them because they are not musicians.
