1. Hey I never did get round to this bit..... Big shout out to those that made encouraging noises on my ad for Ampeg Rocket bass . I am in the Midlands and play as many different varieties of tunes as I can . I also write blues tunes within my trio Strange Blues and play mainly my old fave - OLP 4 string with E Ball flats - I also have an OlP 5 string and a Supro as me Sunday best . Amp is Markbass combo 1x12 with an additional 1x 12 cab for extra fun - Look out for a recording from Strang Blues happening soon

2. Ampeg RocketBass B100 r.
selling for a friend used but in good working order. Just a couple of tears in Tolex but a genuine example of Ampeg quality. Great for practice or rehearsal room as it’s fairly heavy.

Collection only due to weight.

3. Hi all,

I have owned and used a Portabass 2x12 for some time and yesterday it failed me. We were playing in full sunshine ( 25oC) and it cut - I plugged into the PA for the end of the first set and checked it again in the break and it started working again . It then lasted for about another 20 mins and cut again .
Got it home today and checked it to be working ?
I know it sounds like a needle in a haystack but has anyone had a similar experience if so what's likely ?
It runs one of the original Aurora neodymiums and an Eminence neodymium. and sounds great ( The Aurora started to rattle so I replaced and I'm beginning to hear similar noises from the remaining one so I'm thinking it may be time to get another Eminence ??

Any advice would be helpful

4. I am getting an intermittent clicking noise from my Little Mark II - At first I thought I was being clumsy and clouting the bass string against the pick up - But then I used it with several other bassists playing my amp _ the first a very junior player let me set up the amp and I am sure that the gain and master were only at a mid point so no chance of clipping. The second bassist had already set himself up and sounded fine initially but when he started to play harder - there was the clicking - When I checked he had wound the gain round to about 3 oclock - complaining that his Warwick was a really quiet bass - I reset the gain closer to the 12 oclock that I tend to use - and the clicking did not re- appear .
Is this me doing something daft or is their a fault that I have yet to identify - I play an OLP - both 4 and 5 passive and I use an Ampeg Portabass cab 2 x 12 with one of the original speakers replaced with an Eminence Deltalite.
Any input/ ideas appreciated .
Oh yeah, the rig was DI'd into pub PA system on this occasion but I am pretty sure that the noise has occured when played stand alone ( or at least I think so )

5. Repair or replace ? I'm getting a dirty cracking sound from the top speaker in my Portabass 212 cab. I've checked it and there is no visible signs. I run it with a Markbass LittleMark II. It works hard but is never caned. What and where can i go for help. I'm in Leicester

6. SOLD >>>>>>Reluctantly parting with my Sterling SB14 _ If you have never tried one you should as it is easily one of the nicest basses I have owned - unfortunately times are hard and it needs a new home...

Here's a Youtube review that gives you a good idea if you didn't know already..

And I shall attach some pictures to show how good this looks in black, there are some minor scratches on the bottom edge and some very minimal signs of use , but this bass has been hardly used and as far as I know never even gigged .
It does have a very slim jazz neck and so would appeal more to a player looking for just that .
I am looking for £450 as I feel this would set some lucky bass player up for a long time .

7. For sale _ My BH500 because I ended up buying a Little Mark from someone on the forum ...purely based on size and weight issues .

The TC amp was great with all the bells and whistles you could ask for - tuner, tubetone e.tc ..and you can find out much more by looking here:
http://www.tcelectro...500-reviews.asp

I bought it in Jan 2011 and it has been used but not abused - and has some little marks of this but effectively still looks very new and performs just as the reviews describe.
I am looking for about £275 as it cost me nearly £400 and this seems to be fair considering how new it is .

Cheers
