Sorry, I didn't make my self clear enough. I was talking about the MIM classic 50s bass.

Has the 'Line 6 BassPod XT Live' been discontinued? The reason I ask this is, some shops say "Sorry this product is no longer available".

I'm going to look into getting a 'Line 6 BassPod XT Live'. I'm also thinking about getting a Fender 50's classic Precision bass and moding it. Good idea?

I'm looking for a new bass to be used primarily in a 'The Who' tribute band. I have £1000 to spend. I'm trying to get John Entwistle's 'Live At Leeds' sound.
