1.
Has now, yep. That wasn't there when I viewed it - he did a cheeky edit :)

Get yourself over to either www.parcelmonkey.co.uk or www.parcel2go.com. They make things very easy to do, and it's really inexpensive.

They use DHL, Home Delivery Network, etc. (I usually opt for DHL) and the price includes collection and delivery. 9 times out of 10 it all happens in 24 hrs, regardless of choosing 48 hr or 2-3 day service - they are excellent.
You can send pretty large things and up to 25kg I think. The only thing that can drive the price up is if you need insurance on a valuable item.

Anyway, worth a look. I use it all the time to save money buying things from eBay. Seller says £12, I say I'll arrange my own courier thanks - £4.95 :)
Yepp quick edit

And that sounds very good actually, its already in a hardcase, so id just find some bubble wrap and off it goes, so if anyone is interested but cant get here, just drop me a message and we can sort something out!

  2. Hey,

I hope im not stretching the rules of the other musically related stuff, but i guess it is musically related...

I have a Ipod Nano 4th Gen 8GB, in As new condition, in silver. Looks wonderful, and is in mint condition.

I also have a set of Skullcandy Hesh Headphones, massive over ears, good quality, go with the ipod very well, they are in black and are in brilliant condition.

Both have not been used much, I upgraded my phone shortly after getting them, and put music on that instead. The Hesh were just used with my computer when watching videos etc.

Dont need them, and Need money, So if you want to offer me for them, that would be ace, for those wanting a figure, id say £100 including postage and packaging.

  3. To anyone interested in this

A friend of mine has a TD6KW, which is a lower priced and lower level electric roland kit, and even the lower level kits are awesome, So this one will be fantastic, i look forward to playing my mates one, and it is perfect. hey feel like acoustic drums, but save so much space and its easier to control the volume.

Infact, this one is priced alot cheaper than my friend got his one for, so anyone interested.. BUY IT. or i might...

  4. Im in the sameish place, with drums and bass.

If you think you have the capacity to do both, do them. but you have been a guitarist longer, so i think you should do that, your going to get a Bmus either way. and if you want to prove you can play to others, i guess you could just grade in both instruments. Youll learn the same theory from what ive heard.

  5.
This is such an important issue. Burglars broke into my flat this Sunday at 1pm (!), fortunately they got spooked so all they grabbed was my camera, none of the music equipment - I was glad I had stacked the valuable stuff under the bed leaving only the crap gear out. Living in East London, I feel insecure about valuables 100% of the time for good reason. Walking home from a jam session to take the night bus with gear worth a grand once a week - whats the chance of a hold up!! And for breaking ins, about once a year seems normal in East London, they sometimes just take the entire door frame out.
I even know people who ran a recording studio, and the guys who rented the place turned out to be a robbery squat - they tied down the guy, beat him to bits, nicked all the gear - and then did the same in the next studio. Many studios are now fitted with alarm buttons for a reason...
Oh and in case you have not done it yet: write down the serial numbers of all your valuables. For the unlikely event of police actually busting a burglar, they find this pile of stuff and the only way to assign it to you is if you knew your serial number. Mark all your possessions by carving your name into them.
Thats very unfortunate to hear, hope the buggers get what they deserve... Its really got me thinking, im in wouth-west london, in hanworth, but i neibour feltham, fairly quiet area, so im also very worried most of the time, so much that we make sure someone is home all of the time, its very annoying.

  6. Hey thanks guys,

Yea, i was looking into cover for my instrument, But seeing as i dont really do gigs often, dont record, and the bass is at home like 99% of the time, i thought it may be covered, i dont get payed for gigs, im a student, living at home. - thanks for the information warwickhunt, ill be sure to remember it if i do ever get payed for gigs etc.

I think its about time i start paying insurance for my instrument, Cheers.

  7. Hello!

Following a sting of robberies in my area, my parents have begun looking at the home insurance.

They have reciepts for pretty much everything they own of value, However my bass doesnt have one, as i didnt buy it new. in the event of a robbery, would i be screwed?, is there any way i could get it covered under the home insurance? how do they know i had it? do i just need pictures of it etc?

They all are worth under £900 easily if that is of relevance.
