Unfortunately distortions (and compressors) can amplify this hum - it may still be there at low volume when the pedal is off.

 

I have a similar issue if I plug my laptop charger into the wall when I'm using my pedalboard + headphones at home 

I will have to have a play around, think maybe my board may be a bit close to the amp, I'm using one of the boss cases with built in power and a daisy chain power cable that came with it.

Why does my EHX fuzz pedal have an awful hiss when I use it, if I place my hand on the case of the pedal it stops
