Hey. We are currently looking for a bass player to be the 3rd piece of our newly formed rock band.
A little bit about us....
On drums we've got Calvin, aged 23 and has got plenty of gigging experience in previous bands, and has recently moved to the Berkshire area. And I'm Gaz aged 24 (guitar and vox) and I've been in various gigging bands over the years, the first of which was also a 3 piece...
What we are looking for....
We are looking for someone who is able to fill out the sound nicely. We want the bass to be a BIG part in this band! Distortion, fuzz, effects, all good! We want someone who isn't scared to come forward with their ideas and new bass lines. If you can provide backing vocals, then great! Ideally we are wanting someone in a similar age bracket to us i.e 18-30....although this is flexible so give me a shout anyway.
As for the sound....a lot of the new stuff I have written is along the lines of jumpy, rocky riffs. So the tone is certainly rock rather than metal.
We are currently practising once a week at Cell studios in Reading, although we are both flexible with this and can travel elsewhere if necessary. I expect this will move to practising twice a week once we get going properly.
