Hi All,
I have a Phil Jones Bass Cub II 110 that stopped working. I have been trying to find someone in London who can repair it but did not have any luck yet. Advice and recommendations are very welcome. Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I have a Phil Jones Bass Cub II. Unfortunately, it is producing a hiss noise as soon as I plug a cable. Any suggestions? If this a technical problem can someone give me advice of a good repair shop, preferably in north London?
Thanks in advance.

Welcome. Is the new bass to replace or add to your Sire? If it's going to be one bass to rule them all, any of those you mention could be a good choice. I like the Cort Rithimic. They're versatile instruments. A pal has one and I like it a lot. However, you're the person who will be playing it, so head for a few shops and try stuff out. It's best not to choose or buy on the basis of recommendations and reviews. One man's meat is another's poison and all that.
Hi Dan Dare,
Thank you for your reply. The bass is to add the my Sire V10. Regarding the Cort Rithimic, are the pickups hum cancelling? It is not easy to find this bass guitar in a shop to try, I am thinking of buying from Thomann and if it does not fit then send it back... Not very convenient but... it is a possibility.

Thank you all for welcoming me and the advice given. Yes, I need to try some more to understand better what I am looking for and what fits.

Hi,
I re-started playing bass guitar 3 years ago, with lessons etc... I currently have a Sire V10 and I am now looking for a new bass guitar and was considering the following possibilities:
- Cort Rithimic
- Cort A4 Ultra Ash
- FGN J-Standard Mighty Dark
I like clear sounds but not too bright. Any recommendations/suggestions/advice?
Thanks in advance.

Problem with a Phil Jones Bass Cub II 110
in Amps and Cabs

Hi BassmanPaul,
Thank you very much for your questions. No, it does not switch on. In fact, sometimes it does switch on but immediately after goes off. I replaced the fuse of the plug and the fuse in the connector to the plug in the amp... still the same result.
