I already bought new ones, those are the ones that I lost the piece for...so i'll end up paying 30$ for spare straplocks when all I need is one piece...>_>
-
Yeah, apparently the hole in my bass got bigger so the screw doesnt fit right...and to make matters worse I lost a part for my other straplock so I cant use it ;_;
-
I guess loose wasn't the word for it...anyway, I bought Dunlop straplocks, and the problem is that no matter how much I tighten the screw, the straplock doesn't stay on straight, it just gets like...wobbly
-
I just bought new straplocks yesterday (My old ones kept coming loose) and when I jst them on they had the exact same problem as the old ones! No matter how tight I screw them in they just stay loose!
Thanks in advance -

I've been thinking about getting this one for a while now, and it's well within my price range, but i'm open to other suggestions... -
Hi
I've sent you a PM.
Mark
You sure? Because I checked my messages and I didn't see anything -
I keep looking on a lot of websites but nothing really seems to stand out in particular...Any suggestions?
If it helps, I was kinda hoping for a bass that like gives a good low growl >_> -
Things I plan on getting:
New strings (Not sure which brand though)
Dunlop Cry Baby Bass 105Q
Boss ODB-3 Bass OverDrive Pedal -
The person who used the top bunk doesn't live with us anymore, so I may need to get a new bed
EDIT: Also, I figure I may need to get another bass in the near future...a 5-string should suit my needs...I also wouldn't mind having a fretless... -

Hey guys, sorry it took so long for me to reply, i've been busy and plus the whole time zone thing...Thanks a lot for the advice, it really helps a lot.
Also, I play like rock music and that kind of thing so that might help with your advice...
Btw guys, call me Jay, not Baseballfan >_>
EDIT: Maybe I should've been more specific...i'm not exactly in a band, it's more like just me and my friend (he's a guitarist) and I don't really know any drummers that I can work with... -
Basically I ask this because all I play are songs from other bands, and I also wanna show some people that bass is better than they think it is...
Plus, it'd be nice to come up with some cool material -
Thanks a lot for the advice guys, but I think i'll stick with the Schecter...
I'm not getting this right away though, maybe a few months after I break in my P-Bass some more -
I'm not really looking for a whole lot, I just wanted to find a relatively cheap 5-string for me to get...
Btw, is that bass that you have as your picture a Stingray? -

What do you guys think about this? -
I would put up pics, but my camera doesn't work so I can't take any
-
And what does it do? Because I ekeep, hearing about them although I never really found out a lot about them...
-
Well, you could try ultimate-guitar.com, they usually have good tabs...
-
I don't have a camera with me right now, so I can't take any pics, but I will very soon...
Also, this is the amp i'm trying to save up for, but i'm open to other suggestions...

The only thing that sucks though is that I have no amp...so the bass is really quiet...but like I said, the sound is pretty good
-
I went into Guitar Center a couple days ago and I saw a black Fender P-Bass in the store on sale! I figured I wouldn't let the chance to get it pass me up so I bought it! The only problem was that it didn't come with a bag or anything...but oh well, I figure I can get it next time...
Also, I really love the way my bass sounds when I play it :-D -
It was a Fender Precision...I can't really explain the feeling I had when I was playing it, but MAN was it awesome! I definitely know that the P-Bass in the one that I want (Until I can get a Stingray) Too bad I don't have enough money to buy either though...
-
Sorry about the dumb question, but can you actually be able to slap on one? Or would it be easier to use a Jazz Bass instead?
-
Hey guys, sorry about not replying faster, different time zones and all that stuff...
To Musky: My favorite bassists would have to be Flea and Les Claypool, mainly due to the fact that I love their slap bass...
To paul, the: Thanks for the advice and yes, I had a pretty good Independence Day...
To The Burpster: Thanks a lot for showing me the link, although i'm not quite sure that i'll actually be able to drive to that store...However, there is a Guitar Center that is significantly closer...
So yeah, for some reason my straplock seems to be coming loose

Eh, I managed to fix it...apparently the problem was that the screw wasnt tightened as much as it should have been...anyway, now I just have to find that piece for my other straplock, although I may just end up having to buy another set >_>
