Be interesting to see the response to this post, as you just don't see many Steinbergers these days. And I do think they will become very valuable in time but never fragile and always in tune
I just love them all! Good old Ned -

But isn't music the one domain where ageism is not a problem as long as you don't try to look 18 when your 80, even if your still 18 in your head

Cheers Ped Thanks for that

Cheers For that Ped
I have an East U-retro 4 knob deluxe in my Shuker Bass and if I fitted one of those it would be a direct fit leaving the small toggle switch hole redundant, they sound fantastic don't they! But quite Expensive.
Or the Glock which would be a 5 pot version, I would just have to enlarge the small switch hole a little bit, so that would look good.they sound good apparently and about half the price of the east!! but i'm on a buy british trip at the moment http://www.thomann.de/gb/glockenklang_3band_electronic.htm What make are the Humbuckers on your fretted bass. I am looking to do only mods that don't require to much wood Bashing in other words Reversible!
Once again Cheers ped -
Hi ped
The bass looks great watched its progress over the years. What make are the rotary control knobs , they look great modern looking but at the same time look similar to the originals .
I have a Vigier Passion its a vintage White one the same as the one in Bass-direct, I am planing to swap out the electrics they are getting noisy and are totally illogical in use, Those nobs on yours would look great.
Was thinking of using a glockenklang 5 pot or a John East unit but that's for another post ! -
I wonder if this is the bass,
Well done for finding that for me. He used it on I think! See my baby jive, first and then The first showing of that song that drives us all mad every year .
Ecellent -
Hi All
Another newbie to you wonderful forum been playing for about 40 years on an off mostly off of late got my first proper bass in 1969 when I was 17 and it was a well used 64 precision bass which I refinished in natural and later sold it to Roy woods wizard’s bass player over the years I have had just about every make of old school bass guitars Gibson’s, Ricks etc through to more modern basses Like Warwick’s and at present Have a Steinberger XM2 the second I have owned this one I would never Sell I love it and My new love a Vigier passion Carbon is probably the best Bass I have ever owned I have a couple of 6 string basses as well although I don’t no why a Mania and a BTB Ibanez My rig is a Swr Super redhead and a Son of Beartha Cab have used Swr for for as long as I can remember maybe 18 years starting with sm 400 I think they are still the best any way that’s all I can remember about myself, your probably all bored stiff by now
