  1. Another pedal I’ve bought directly from David Koltai a little while back. Mothership Pigtronix MK1 , I’ve used it for a project but wasnt actually turned on all that much, infact there is marking on the pedal for that one song.. none the less, what goes on the board - stays on the board until theres no point carrying it.. RIght ? (no need to answer that ,, 🙈) and I find this pedal a little hard to let go I have to admit, but the cathartic process is good, so I plough through,, ! This beast is one of the very few that actually delivering on the synth side of things with a sound of its own ! When I mean synth , I mean an actual analogue sinewave(s) which you can blend along with your bass and further stomp boxes ! ! David has clearly thought this pedal through and through with all these features, including: - Sub out, - VCO, - Glides, - Whammy range, - Ring modulator, - Sinewaves shapes on off, - Sub octave (even on my 5er Lowest ! (I love this one when blend is off btw ! ) And so much more but mostly THE BLEND ! ! so your bass stays on the channel if you want to and you can tune the synth right up to it or harm it even ! - or completely kill it and just stay with a synth. I’ve yet to come across anything that can do half as much with a sound of its own ! If anything, I think David has created one of those outstanding pedals that further versions aren't really going to match the original. Its an early version as well. unit number 846. which I reckon will become collectors paradise soon enough. It wants your clean/preamp signal first. Or post comp. And if your active basses and battery are too low it would tell you go elsewhere for tracking. I've used it with passive pbass and Jbass and working beautifully ! Comes with a box and manual and a US type lead which i’d say is probably my only criticism of this unit, they could have come up with a better lead, but thats that I guess, it works and you can find replacements. I took it for a service to be done by Koltai team as well in 2022. I really dont know how to price this,, None available in the UK and from my research so far, combining ebay and reverb etc, items only available internationally. So £265 seems like a reasonable BC deal for this unit, inc box and manual etc. My initial reaction was £290 but ive deducted points on the power lead, its working perfectly fine , but still I can imagine you might want to replace this at some point and they cost about £12ish or so. Price: £265. seems fair considering whats out there, the overall condition and box.(saw a japanese dude selling it for £650.) Condition: Very Good. Includes: Original box, manual original power supply. Collection: Brighton or London. Post: UK + Internationality (sorry , not US atm ) Feel free to ask any questions, Thanks,
  2. Selling Pigtronix Philosopher’s Tone compressor/sustainer pedal. I bought this, along with few other pedals, new, a little while back, directly from David Koltai (Pigtronix founder) as part of a large endorsement deal. This pedal is great and I have two of these ! (Selling this one pictured. ) This comp can do quite a few things really really great: - ‘always on” type of transparent pedal. That is how I used it ! Both on electric AND double bass. Expanding on dynamic range is crucial for me, but also have enough of an oomph when I need to whilst not loosing anything along the way, without the ducking or digital clipping of transient . - ‘Squash’ - Ive used it on a hiphop production where this was really ideal. Getting all the lows and also thickness of the bass with so much headroom ! ! - Space ! YES ! This is a really board friendly pedal and it has been strapped to my boards for as along as I know. - Ive used it with my pbass and with a 5 Spitfire GB bass and double bass - absolutely outstanding on all fronts ! Plenty other features which I didn't use but I know some folks really digging: Is the grit and treble. For that top slap and some dirt etc ! ! - Optical Compressor / Sustainer – delivers extremely smooth, transparent sustain without squashing dynamics. - this will sustain for ever ! - Blend Control – lets you mix your dry signal with compressed tone, keeping natural attack while extending sustain. - Low-Noise Circuitry – one of the quietest compressors in its class, even at high sustain settings. - True Bypass Switching – preserves tone when the pedal is off. I was sure I had the box for it ,, but clearly I dont,, if I ‘ll find it before sale I’ll add it ofcourse. Most of the wear is where the pedal knobs meet the underneath of the pedal board foam. This pedal as stored below deck. Does not come with a lead (didn't on the original either) and I’ve fed it 18v via cioks. ( it’ll take 12v-18v. I recommend 18V.. more is more ,, ) Price: £70 (Lowest, like for like, UK, I could find) Condition: Very Good Collection: Brighton or London. Post: UK + Internationality (sorry , not US atm ) Feel free to ask any questions Thanks
  3. (more clearing .. ) sE Electronics Z5600a II dual tube microphone 2012 ! The ‘5600’ in excellent condition, hardly been used , and when was in use - it was really looked after carefully ! Rich, warm tube sound, versatile recording options, and pro-level clarity—perfect for vocals and various acoustic inst, inc overheads, room mic podcast , cello, violin, double bass ! also super solid in sE best days IMO ! I would say that the sound profile of the 5600 is leaning towards the vintage/rich lows and has a great multi pattern pre-amp, the settings are not attached to the mic ! this is great really because fiddling with the mic , while in position, each time you want to explore a new sound is first world problem for sure,, but still a problem - Comes with all the cables, shock mounts, etc and that briefcase. A fantastic studio-grade mic that gives you a classic tube tone without breaking the bank. The briefcase (not mic !) was stored in the studio basement along with various hardware tools so there are few light scratches on it, The case was once taken to a photoshoot and we dug a battery compartment in the case.. you might find that useful.. Oddly, from what I can see, there arent that many around, which suggest that folk keep hold of it and also has a good potential to hike in value with time ! Some sell for silly money abroad. Sadly this one has to go while im packing this studio to a new spot. Price: £400 (Lowest, like for like, I could find on the bay and reverb combined is £465 Condition: Excellent. Includes: Original box, manual, all cables and pre amp. This came with an EU kettle lead. I can throw in an adapter if you dont have one . Collection: Brighton or London. Post: UK + Internationality (sorry , not US atm ) Feel free to ask any questions !
  4. (More clearing…) sE Electronics Gemini II MK1 2013. Had this new directly from work collaboration I was doing with sE at the time. It was put to little use ever since I had it. When I did use , it was handled like new born chick and properly as you would with any dual tube mics. (Moved when cold, wait for pre amp to warm etc .. ) For certain applications - Tubes are kings and queens ! They produce beyond what is ‘sterile’ and add that subtle character (warmth.. saturation .. ) we often look for when tracking ! It sets sessions apart in my experience. So while these can do clean they arent sterile ! ! And like pre amps - tubes can set the difference between takes and parts. What is special about the Germini II is that it sounds beautiful and uncompromising for a fraction of a U47.. This mic will be HUGE on vocals, guitars, overheads, and double bass ! will be an amazing room mic as well all your podcasting needs and beyond ! Its solid build and was made during a period where sE was really producing outstanding microphones ! Price: £650 (Lowest, like for like, I could find on the bay and reverb combined is £650) Condition: Excellent. Includes: Original box, manua,l all cables and pre amp. Collection: Brighton or London. Post: UK + Internationality (sorry , not US atm ) - If of any interest, im happy to throw in a pop filter and a boom arm that might fit your vocal filter - free of charge ,, let me know if interested. Thanks ! (The actual briefcase box was stored in attic studio and was moved about, might have few scratched on the body of the briefcase.. but nothing I could see that was worth taking a picture)
  5. Selling my HOFA Diffusor, perfect for improving room acoustics in studios, home recording setups, or listening rooms. This was attached to my previous studio wall. Smoke free, smell free etc. It was originally attached with 2 nails to ‘soft hold’ in place. My acoustician assured that this did not effect the performance of the board what so ever as long as the actual wood isnt significantly bent (its the geometrical pattern and shapes that do the diffusing ) . I had outstanding sound quality and acoustics in the studio and HOFA boards played a role in it no doubt ! No surprise you see these in so many studios, I like the look if them also ,, bit from Thomann: - Effective acoustic elements for the optimisation of room sound - For the best possible acoustic, for example, in recording studios, home cinemas or home-recordings - For the optimization of room reflections in the mid and hi-mid frequencies - Two-dimensional QRD-Diffuser - Design in untreated birch plywood - For professional and better working conditions in recording and control rooms - For an audiophile Hi-Fi listening experience - Can be combined with the HOFA Frame for flexible room acoustics - Option on the back for frameless suspension - Dimensions: 500 x 500 x 110 mm Condition: Very good. Includes: a very good HOFA Diffuser Collection: Brighton or London. or can post within the UK (tracked and insured, at your expense). will be heading upnorth 23/24/25/ August so can meet along M1/M6. Meet along the way or outside Manchester or nearby cities. Thanks !
  6. Another pedal I have used exclusively for contemporary dance work. Selling this Boss RC-20XL Loop Station, super versatile and reliable looper for guitar, bass, keys, vocals, kazoo and oboe etc. Perfect for live performance, practice, studio work and I know alot of folks are using it for private tuition ! Again , this was stored on the board so marks are purely friction between pedals etc, before storing this for years now. Excellent condition – lightly used, fully functional, all knobs, buttons, and footswitches work perfectly. This is seriously feature packed machine and super easy to use ! Go online have a look to find all you need ,, so much out there. Price: £70 – seems fair considering whats out there, the condition and box. Condition: Excellent. Includes: Original box, manual AND A CD WITH SOUND LIBRARIES ! I mean that alone… (No power supply came with this) Collection/Post: Brighton or London. or can post within the UK (tracked and insured, at your expense) (will be heading upnorth 23/24/25/ August so can meet along M1/M6. Meet along the way or outside Manchester or nearby cities.) Feel free to ask any questions. Thanks

  7. More studio clearout: I’ve bought this new specifically for a live contemporary dance project. Used for about couple of months (about 8 shows in total ). This pedal has been sitting on the board for short while unused, before stored back in box and is in excellent condition. You probably know what this thing does, but heres my take: Its absolutely brilliant at tremolo’ing The fact that you can go from a really gentle soft trem , almost unnoticeable but you can feel the pulsing wave forms (the way I've used it ) and all the way to a proper chopper with actual silent drops between chops, without losing any low end what so ever in the process - is pretty amazing!! And so versatile will slide into any genre ! - Classic Swedish build quality - Its tank solid ! - Three waveform modes: Sine, Square, Sawtooth - Depth and Speed controls - Volume or Filter effect options - True Bypass - Mono or true stereo operation (used it as stereo. - mind blowing ! ) - Compact and pedalboard-friendly Price: £80 (seems right given the condition, box and mans) Condition: Excellent, barely used Includes: Original box and manual Collection: Brighton area or London. Post: Internationality (sorry , not US atm ) If you're looking for a top-tier tremolo pedal with that unmistakable EBS quality and sound , this is it. No trades unfortunately.. im clearing out. Feel free to ask any questions ,

  8. I'm moving studios and plenty of unused gear has to go.. here goes.. : One of the most coveted channel strips ever made, highly sought after for all the right reasons. Known for its silky preamps, musical EQ, smooth compressor, and legendary Silk/Texture circuit, this unit brings the unmistakable Rupert Neve sound into a modern, versatile package. This was one of the final designs Rupert Neve personally oversaw before his passing (not to be confused with later not-similar editions..) — a true piece of recording history that is likely to appreciate in value over time. Condition & Service: Lived in a smoke-free (greasy fingers free !) climate-controlled studio rack, with very little use. Professionally serviced in 2024 by Audio Circuit (Brighton). All modules were replaced (routine for high-end analog gear) The unit was stored out of use ever since ! Invoice included for peace of mind — no additional service needed for years. Safely stored in SKB case (available for purchase separately at discount if interested ). Why Sell? I absolutely love this piece — it’s incredible for tracking vocals, strings , bass, guitar , synth etc, mixing, EQ shaping, de-essing, compression, passing, and adding that unmistakable Neve warmth and depth to anything you can think of really ! Unfortunately, my current work flow and touring doesn’t put this unit to much work and it’s taking up valuable space. Otherwise, I would never sell. Now , for bass - electric and double. - this is unbelievably HUGE ! the silk switch adds such subtle saturation (or extreme ) and along with compression and flexible EQ you have one of the best channel strips that done well - by a long shot ! if you are doing any remote recording or sessions - this is very much at the top and meeting any client demands easily and with true Neve quality ! If you’re reading this, you might know what this unit can do. Rarely available on the market. UK-based, fully serviced, barely-used Portico II Channel. Stereo Power: If you have another unit, they can be linked for true stereo operation, giving you a world-class front end or mix buss chain. Dual Portico II’s deliver massive 3D stereo width, cohesive glue, and the unmistakable Rupert Neve depth that mastering engineers chase. Whether across your mix buss, stem groups, or mastering chain, a stereo pair transforms your setup into something truly world-class. Additional Notes - SKB case not included by default; can be added for £80 extra - please contact if interested - Minor scratch on top occurred during first rack installation.(still hurts..) - Insured, signed tracked delivery to the UK only, or happy to meet in person in London or Brighton. - I am not in a rush to sell this and it is listed in various places elsewhere so ad might get pulled abruptly. 📦 Ships fully insured, carefully packed. (If you choose to buy the SKB case it'll add extra protection !) 🔧 Includes service invoice and original manual. No original box. While shipping to UK only. EU/Worldwide please get in touch beforehand if interested. For UK can meet in any London or Brighton station. Highlights - Pristine RND Class-A mic preamp - Incredible 4-band EQ with variable Q - Compressor/Limiter with blend control, De-esser, - Low-Cut for vocal tracking. - Texture/Silk modes for harmonic enhancement - Stereo link option for dual units - Built like a tank, with Rupert’s uncompromising design philosophy - DI + 48V Phantom - UK + US kettle lead - For UK buyers - Not dealing with import tax. - Collection in person possible ! Feel free to ask any questions. Thanks ! From Neve : Portico II Channel The Portico II Channel was created using the high voltage topologies from the 5088 to create a channel strip with the ultimate sound quality. Comprised of a fully-featured mic preamplifier, 4-band EQ, compressor-limiter, “texture” control and level metering, the Portico II Channel includes a bevy of features including Variable Silk with Texture control, a fully tunable “de-esser”, multiple VCA filtering and detection options, a transient-optimized swept HPF and parallel compression blending. Technical Specs: Portico II Channel Mic Pre / EQ / Compressor / Texture For recording and mixing engineers, the greatest challenge will always be to capture and transform disparate 2-D elements into an engrossing 3-D vision that elicits the same raw emotions and compelling vibrance as the live performance. With the Portico II Channel, every possible attention has been paid towards producing the most accurate, sweet-sounding audio topologies, while enabling engineers with the tools they need to boldly shape or fine tune tracks to the limits of their imaginations. The Portico II Channel was created using the high voltage topologies from the 5088 to create a channel strip with the ultimate sound quality. Comprised of a fully-featured mic preamplifier, 4-band EQ, compressor-limiter, "texture" control and level metering, the Portico II Channel includes a bevy of new features including; Variable Silk with Texture control, a fully tunable "de-esser", multiple VCA filtering and detection options, a transient-optimized swept HPF and parallel compression blending. With its simple yet powerful topologies and extensive feature set, every element of the Portico II: Channel is geared towards empowering recording artists to realize these visions. Input Section Input signals may be derived from any of three sources; Microphone, Line or DI. The Microphone input has a 10K Ohm non-reactive input resistance that handles a full 26dBu signal without the need for a pad. A primary Gain control provides 66dB of gain in 6dB increments for easy recall with a +/- 6dB Trim for fine adjustment. A transient-optimized HPF variable from 20-250Hz is included. Additionally, a 48V Phantom Power switch, Phase Inversion, Signal Present indicator and a Mute switch are included. The pre-amp is a TLA non-reactive design that precludes the loading of microphones with limited driving capability and which maintains a 2 dB noise figure over a wide range. Inserting a plug into the DI input selects a 3M Ohm discrete FET DI circuit with a transformer-coupled topography that optimizes both the microphone and DI inputs, allowing low impedance microphones and high impedance sources like electric guitars and basses to sound their very best. Primary Gain and Trim controls are fully operational. A "Thru" jack on the front panel that duplicates the unaffected source signal allows the use of an external amplifier if required. A "Line" switch selects the independent Line XLR non-reactive input circuit that includes the HPF and Level Trim controls. Texture One of the key developments in the Portico II Channel is the new Texture section. Building on the "Silk" mode found in the original Portico Series mic preamplifiers, Texture is designed to adjust the actual amount of musical harmonic content from the source material - in effect, providing countless tonal options in one device. The texture section can vary from barely audible to dramatic, all controlled by a single knob. With that said, Rupert Neve has taken great care to ensure that the musical integrity of source material itself will not be compromised by these harmonic controls - these are not to be confused with controls from other manufactures that may "incinerate", "demolish" or "destroy" source material.
