Gorgeous!

Have you got any more details on that thumb fiver? It looks a little later than an 86 to me, more like an 88 or 89 with the normal Thumb truss rod cover, 2 piece bridge and adjustable nut, although I notice you say it has had its pickups repositioned, so presume its a refinish? Could well be an 86 in that case :) Does it have a serial number visible?

Love that grain on the 4 string :)

I have an email from Hans Peter Wilfer giving the information on it Kev. It originally had the old pickup position but was still at the factory unsold when they changed to the new position, this is presumably why they painted it rather than leave it natural. It does have an '86 serial number stamped into the paint at the end of the headstock.

5. Jimmy Page was very nice, took the time to chat with my young son about his guitar playing and to sign some autographs.
Most of the Punks I met were very nice, Siouxsie and Steve Severin, JJB, Hazel O'Connor chatted to me for an hour about life in general while she was having a fag break during the recording of the Sons and Lovers album. Dave Martin from Chelsea (the band not the team) was a very friendly guy as is James Stevenson and Gerry Cott from the Boomtown Rats.

6. Here for trade only is a very cool 2006 Fender '52 Custom Shop Telecaster, it plays great and looks amazing with that great tele sound from the Custom Shop Nocaster pickups. Maple neck with Nocaster 'U' profile, 9.5" fingerboard radius with medium jumbo frets, case candy, certificate and G&G tweed case.

Trade for a 1970's black/maple/black Fender Precision Bass, Fender Custom Shop Jazz or Custom Shop Precision.

If you go to Warwick.de then go to Warwick support, you can check out the serial number of your bass and it will tell you all the information about the woods, finish and equipment.

Nice basses here btw. Thanks for posting

I did as you suggested and got a reply from Hans-Peter Wilfer, he confirms it's bubinga.
Thanks all for your help!
