Hi everyone

Selling this 2008 Lakland Skyline 55-02. It's no longer needed as I think I've just found my holy grail 5-string 😇. It's in good condition, just a few small bumps and scratches, hard to photograph and barely noticeable in person too.

It's a great bass, really versatile and just feels right. The neck is absolute 5-string perfection in my opinion - a bit slimmer than the newer 55-02s, satin finish and fairly narrow at the nut. Nice low action. Also, maybe the sexiest 5-string headstock out there??

I've had a lot of compliments about the sound of this bass from sound engineers etc. Nice tight B string aided by the 35" scale and string-through option.

It's pretty light - 4.1kg on digital kitchen scales - and balances nicely. 

It has served me well but I prefer 34" scale, and I only ever find myself seeking Fender-y tones so a jazz suits me better.

Collection/meet up preferred.

No - I was going to take a look at it myself first, which I haven’t had a chance to do just yet.

Sadly I've decided this bass isn't quite for me. 'Mint' condition as far as I can tell... 

The Fender Custom Shop pickups on this sound great. I'm looking for a slightly different sound, however. I also prefer a slightly fatter neck - this one is very slim.

It weighs 3.9kg, which is light for one of these. 

Please note that the pot for the neck pickup not working perfectly. If you push it in a certain way when it's on full, the sound for that pickup will cut out, nudge it back the other way and the sound comes back. Not a huge issue - I've gigged this bass recently with no problems. The solution could be as easy as a bit of contact cleaner, worst case scenario might need a new pot. If the bass doesn't sell I'll fix it and relist the bass.

Bought Trevor’s TH500 the other day. He was helpful in finding a time/place to meet that worked for both of us, lovely guy and the amp works great.

Mark and I met up to trade Barefaced cabs yesterday.

Hi everyone,

This is a Barefaced Two10s with matching cover. Looking to trade for a Barefaced Super Compact with silver cloth grille.

In excellent condition - this was built for me in July 2021. It has only done about 10-15 gigs; just a few little scuffs on the metal corners and feet. I've only ever used 350w amps with it so it hasn't been pushed. 

As this is my only loud cab, I don't really want to sell before I find a replacement, but £615 could do it. That's £200 off what this would cost brand new, and without the wait to have it built.
