1. SOLD SOLD SOLD :P

Hi all,
I haven't been on here for a while, so apologies this post is to sell something.

I have had my NS Design CR5 for about three years now, bought from it's orginal lady studio owner in the West Country.

Unfortunately, I am looking to sell it, as I just don't think I'll ever be able to do this beautiful instrument any justice - me and uprights just don't seem to click. As hard as I try, I just don't have a feel for fretless basses.
I hardly ever play the instrument now, and it seems a real shame to have it just sitting here.

The bass has a few of small dings - one by the bass pot, one on the opposite edge by the bottom of the fretboard, a couple on the bottom and a light mark on the left edge of the fret board about halfway up. None of these affect the playablility of the instrument.
Tha bass has been kept in a smoke and pet-free home, and is regularly cleaned.

Included with the bass is the original adjustable stand and padded carry/gig bag, a bow and rosin, plus the NS Design "Boomerang" strap system that allows the player to wear the bass a bit like a Chapman Stick!

The strings are the OEM D'Addario ones specifically designed for this bass, and only have a few hours of playing on them. I also include the old strings that came with the bass. There is also the option of using acoustic upright bass strings.

No trades thanks, I need the money at the moment more than another bass.
Any more info or photos required, please ask.
I am based on the central South Coast.

Thanks for looking.
Steve

2. A bit of feedback for owen.

Glad to say no problems at all!

Very helpful, item as described, no fuss - he even kept it for me and delayed posting while I was working away!

Highly recommended.

3. Aah, the maestro speaks, glad to see you still monitor these forums Mr Fitmzaurice
Insist that he follow the instructions to a T, including the choice of materials and adhesives.
Absolutely, I learnt my lesson a while ago when attempting to build a Tuba24 - I thought I would make a few "shortcuts" but the less said about that the better I think :)

For anyone else reading this post, I can't praise Bill's instructions enough. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING is covered.
I would love have a go building a Jack, but currently have absolutely nowhere I can do any work apart from final assembly (at a push).

Cheers

4. Thanks for all the replies - I had thought of using my local B&Q/Wickes what-have-you but as mottlefeeder and DLP say
I agree that you can pay the supplier to do straight cuts, but that still leaves you with the angled cuts where the horn starts and ends.
My woodworking is absolute cr@p and even I can do better than what happened the last time I asked B&Q to cut some angled panels :)

Anyway, I have done some asking around locally and there is a furniture restorer close to me who will apparently do cabinet work so I'll give hime a go.

Cheers
Steve

Edit: Oh, nice work by the way DLP, those cabs look excellent - I hope my one turns out half as good.
