An update of sorts, the new ABZ has arrived, see the side-by-side picture below. The comparison is somehow both interesting and unsurprising - the new one is obviously a 3pu model, and has the Darkglass preamp, which seems to afford some extra tone shaping control. It's also much brighter, although I'm confident thats almost entirely down to the brand new strings. Other than that, they're pretty much the same bass. On closer inspection of the one for sale, there are a few small dings here and there, but these are pretty hard to spot - the blue one is actually in markedly worse condition cosmetically. It's fair to say I'm also going to miss the Wenge neck - the 5 piece quarter sawn maple is lovely, but the Wenge is pretty out of this world.

Selling my Dingwall ABZ - unbelievable bass, only selling as been fortunate enough to get hold of a newer one in blue with the Darkglass preamp. Includes a very sturdy Dingwall gig bag (not pictured).
