1. well bro , let's say that i'm demanding..and demanding is costly ,some years of spare to get that one.
Most for the "artistic "part .In that ,
it's one of the most beautiful bass i "posed" my eyes since ever ,
taking in account that i chose a lot of specs for the final result (so It' PERSONAL) .
It has the sort of that sense of elegance and balance
i longed for a Boutique since a while ,and since i'm timorous to say 100% about everything , let say is 95% the One .
All the other boutiques around ,to me have always something "too common" or something "too wacky" .
I have the same sensation in other Wt shapes ,but i repeat ,it's personal off course.

Haussel are an experiment done for me ,and at the same time for another guy who had a 5ver.
One row is Big single poles ,ala Musicman ,other row is Jazz. For each pickup.

Jazzbucker derived ,the originals jazzbackers are conceived to get the most close to original jazz tone ,once splitted,
mine is different as i placed the musicman rows in 70' position.
It did suit that bass.Strong "rock" sound,
Great slap tone as no other ( 6ER ) i ' tried ,
expecially when splitting the Pu on neck ,or switching it in series for a more "drastic tone" ,
while putting the bridge Pu in parallel .
So also , definetely funky with no effort and sacrifice of Tighteness , a sacrifice you get sometime with 6ers.
Great easy "tapping " ,as you can see from the video.Though it was for fun .

Great ghost notes picking ..in that i found 2 piece bridge really good for that sort of "more transparent" recipe .
I know that , as i did try identical basses with 2 bridges ;
*The single mass bridge had more lows .
*The 2 pieces bridge more "transparent" sensation ,not BETTER ,but better for what i had in my mind for the general result .
In the specific ,final decision was to couple the big musicman Poles with a much transparent bridge .
I would see a single Bigger bridge fitting a lot better the jazz pickups ,for example .
In fact ,when i split the pu to get a jazz vibe ,it's not the setting i apreciate more ,time will tell with amplification and venues.

Final result was a surprise also for the builders ,when i did toy with internal settings on the pre and selected my "sweet spot".
in fact the bass pot is always half maxed (its an only -gain bass pot ,you cant "cut"),and it never adds "mud",it just strenghten the tone
i'm after.

sorry for the long post ,
i preferr to tell all the infos at once ,so it can be useful for others too.
Rock Horns UP ,Guys
Cheers ,
Ale

2. Guys ,i did receive my new custom ,it's gorgeus ,no photos lend the right justice but it plays and look stunning, feel like a child with the long longed for toy.
Here you can see some photos in the luthier's home :
http://s162.photobucket.com/albums/t265/al...chronos_finito/
something like that :

NOT an INLAY ,but actual paint ,stunning on live view (i didt he draw myself ,1:1 on a"virtual KEyboard).
The "art" stuff took many hours of labour from them (tryng color on wood batches before and so on) , but it was worthy for .

I did a funny video on tapping ( a bit of irony-mood included ,to get the stuff "light " on view and hope sort of enjoable).
the (in)famus sabre dance played on the original orchestra line ,tha you can check here :

It'a bolt on with the peculiar screw attachment on the back ,after trying both NT and BO by them ,for my style and needs i went there ,
though customizing a lot tiny details you can see fom outside (about some mm there and there ).
Notice the wood knobs matching and so on...lovable :) .
In slap ,the ONLY 6er in my life that "slaps" like that ,
i mean i feel not "the difference" i ALWAYS felt in all other 6ers i did try ,
botique and not ,and i own myself still a couple . The "tighteness" , if you get what i mean .
**********************
Any curiosity or question ask away ^^

If you exclude electronics ,hipshot tuners and Ets bridge ,everything else aside it's done custom by hand ,including
"Hybrid" Musicman/Jazz pickups done customly for me by Haussel in Germany
..damn... A " for life "keeper guys ..

3. Damn .I just got my singlecut custom Bolt-on from Woodtronics basses ,and this one pops out .Mine is a beauty (and far more cost ,say about 3 times ) ,but this one seems so fair for the price. Only thing i dont like is the fingerboard too long after last fret
(i'd like to "slap"more close to last fret), but i like a lot the neck profile..and the bolt on is so similar to mine .Good luck with the sale .

4. Not to waste you thread .
Its'a good machine at a good price.
Only to say, since it looks to be the FIRST version of the machine (voicelive 1):

to get the "on the fly" functions (live recognition of mp3,guitar and keyboards/midi)
you need additional modules (PEDAL) ,one for guitar and one for midi/keybs.
"Guitar control" or something like that.Dunno if you are aware of that, but could be a little misleading if you dont mention it.
_____________
anyway
I have version 2 :very nice. But i tend to use fixed scale more often,as the unit needs clear chords and if you play more "rock style" ,like power chords ,the unit obviously need 3ths to understand the chords.

In live ,"warble" of choir-voices is almost certain(even with new version),so better use fixed scale for that, and voices get clearer out.
___________-

The very nice thing are effects built in and so on,a plethora of good stuff pretty usable, expecially to find a certain voice "tone"in short amount of time, then up to the user/studio to go with plugs for the same effect, more "spot on" .

5. I saw now that thread ^.Bought from him an onboard preamp a while ago ,flawless experience .Did't install it still but it was exactly like he said and offered kind help in the case too..THUMB UP for me^^

6. If You ship to Europe, you should modify the auction.
Last time i did bid in a not-European auction (off course after asking the seller), ebay refused automatically to put the bid.

Nice bass.Love the light "epoxied" style on fretless fretboard.

7. Hoped Italy ;-) so i coul find a way to try It ahah,
Well Suomi Is great ,been there some months of my life (also in France) ,Awesome rock musicians there. One day i have to try a 6er maple like that ,it has his voce i 've noticed in other high end bass maple.
Damn ,i felt "something" on you ex-Bass , but broke is broke.

Thank You And take care
Have Fun,
Alex

8. Never got into the sound Of those cort ebonol guys .

Yep The "Mystic Ice" I think You mean, but this one has a different pattern (much classier ,less Chaotic--Less "crazy",at least for my tastes )
and looks Even More "silvery" ,that's why i fancy the finish, with the black shadow staining into silver .

Provided With a more unconventional Shape,it would be an Eye catcher.

I had a look on the Cort Color page,
But that one looks different ,unless there is A Just a casualty of this one or a game of picture-lights.

http://www.cort.co.kr/english/tip/tipColor01.asp

It looks like a cros Between Faded trans (ftb) and Mystic ice "Silvery".

9. Dunno About the bass , But that Finish IS Killer ,i would take something like that to replace pictures on the wall if not more.

..Or a carbon/composite/graphite high-end bass with that finish it would fancy --too much maybe--

Gonna investigate ,maybe is just the Shadow-light pattern of the picture that gives this marvellous result.
Mystic ice crazer i saw often looks different to me

10. i love the look of the cabinets ,
something kitchy as an old vintage fridge , but i dig a lot.
They are larger than conventional simlar 2X12 cabinets or larger than the tecamp production, out of curiosity?
Or just an Eye-effect produced by the unconventional Shape?

I hope i would get to try one, someday.

11. Nice axe-
I have one of the "military" picasso style.
Try to sell It also On usa Market and on Petrucci forum ,believe you will get far more attention and maybe to get confirmation on the experts.
If I recall correctly , personal guitars of Petruci were Handmade and not regular production,so maybe they have something differentt. you can recognise (and "advertise")

12. Tasty stuff,if they would be 34"(damn my short hands) i would snap one of them ,i'm sure they are far more than worth for the price .
.. also the action look really awesome from the first pic.
Here in italy they are insanely high on price actually.
