Fantastic axe. I had one of these (earlier 90's Yamaha Japan) and no other bass can match this one in tone. The piezo is killer.
Good luck. -
Hello guys.
Thank you for the comments!
It seems that the John East will be the easiest choice. It looks almost plug and play. I could order one but i never heard this combination before on a Marcus.
The Aguilar seems also a good and cheaper choice. Is it easy to install? I'm ok with electronics not an expert thought, and i'm afraid to have in the end a bass sounding like a washing machine -
Hello guys,
I've been working with this bass for a while. The construction and feel is great but the pup's and electronics are a bit away from i expected - a complete mess.
I've read a lot about different upgrades and i now that there's a lot of stuff around but still haven't decided.
For those who have or had this bass what do you recommend and why?
Thank you!
Best regards from Lisboa, Portugal -

Indeed. Versatile with a great touch. -
Cirrus USA maple
35" scale
Neck thru body
2 VFL active pickups
Active 3 band EQ with 10 dB boostcut (18v)
Gold hardware
Milled ABM multi adjustable bridge
Pau Ferro fretboard

It's an amazing instrument. Totally mint as you can see. No dead spots.
Dead quiet electronics with beautifull slap and jaco tones.
