I have a good BASS well to me anyway ,its a yam RBX170.yes you are right. I'll sell the fender etc and the money to buy a cheapo ,and do what you've just said..anyway thanks for the replies. john

abit pricy for what I'm willing to pay.I've got a Fender quire but 6 strings.and that tremolo does not fit into the bridges.so I'm wondering if I fit a 4 string bridge and a bass neck,do you think that would be fine?I know the pick ups will be different but may work?

I remember seeing a guy on you tube ,playing a bass guitar(4 string) with a tremolo.and he sounded really nice.of course he had lighter strings on.jet harris had one on his bass but 6 strings. the thing is I like to know is can you buy them?I know what do you want them for? well I'd like to try something different.
