1. My first ever transaction on BC and not a small one. As drumming consumes most of my time I had to let go of some of my basses/guitars.
My Status Streamline found a good home, back in the UK!
Sean is easy to deal with and I quote him, a straight up guy as well ;-)

2. Looking for 1200 euro's, will ship insured to UK, Germany, France.

3. well... this trio is mine!
The Shark 5'er will have a bridge pickup added (thanks Andy!) as well as a TB5 5 hi/low cut'n'boost circuit. The S1 Classic is a real cool all-round bass and the Streamline is big fun in a small package, play it with 30-90 strings.

4. I'm having a Westone Superheadless & Fretless get the CA treatment...This is done by a pro with a lot of experience in this field, I've played several fretless basses with a CA coated fretboard and it does feel different, sounds different and is very tough. Applying isn't the hardest work, you build up layers (up to ten) and then the real labour starts; sanding and polishing...

If you're interested I'll try to make some pic's, we are at layer #4 at the moment.

5. The Yamaha BBT550H digital head delivers 500W at 2ohm.
Weight is only 4,5 kg (10lbs), thanks to the class D module.
Rather complicated amp to operate, but very versatile and reliable.
The 5 presets are very handy for quick changes (i.e. fretted/fretless/distortion).
The best thing about them...they are cheap! bought one last year brandnew for only 250 euro (GBP200). You can't go wrong there!

6.
Thanks for the bump MB1!

Not getting much interest in this, which is surprising as its an awful lot of bass - especially compared to the price of a new Status.

Just to stress - don't get hung up on the amp / combo p/ex thing, I'm happy to take reasonable offers on the bass outright. I've a couple of months before the theatre gigs and if push comes to shove I can get a cheap combo option or squeeze my GK / EPI set up in if I have to.

I think this will be my last bump for a while. If nowt doing I'll probably keep it and maybe try again later in the year.

Cheers

PM"d!

7.
I actually blew the sound board on my laptop recently so i'm computing in silence! I won't be able to do any sound samples until i either find a cheap spares/repairs laptop to fix it or sort my external audio interface out. I can try to do it on my mate's PC but i think his Line 6 is broken too. The joys of computing!

That's a very nice Warmoth, what are those pickups?

Steve
Hi Steve,
Q-tuners are handmade pup's by fellow Dutchman Erno Zwaan.
They sound very transparant; almost pianolike (high resonance peak).
The controls are: panpot neck-bridge and volume (push-pull for pre-amp)
have a look:

Any change you can upload a soundsample? I'm particulary interested in the sound of the bridge pickup and bridge+neck pickup
Perhaps you're interested in my Warmoth JB (maple-satine neck / alder-satine body with Q-tuners and a custom high-Z preamp)?
Problem is that I live in the Netherlands...

9. well... my first post and with pic's, so yes they do exist :-)

the rare & stunning MC2924 with low-impedance pu's and 2 band eq low/high pass filtering
