1. [s]Selling my Euphonic Audio iamp 500. I've yet to come across an amp in this price range with such malleable tone controls. The ability to shape your sound with such a precise and flexible EQ makes this a dream to play. Has just been refurbished and is working perfectly.

350 watts @ 8 ohms, 500 watts @ 4 or 2 ohms

PDf manual here for those interested.

Amp is coupled with the[/s]

* Tweeter: 1 - 2" compression driver;
* Impedance: 8 ohm;
* Power Handling: 350W;
* Response -Low: 38Hz;
* Response - High: 14KHz;
* Sensitivity: 103dB;
* Height: 19" x Width: 17" x Depth: 15";
* Sound Pressure Level: (with 350w @ 1M) 130dB;
* Weight: 45lbs.

Based in South East London for you to try.
Not currently in the market for another bass amp but would be willing to part exchange for a small PA system!

2. Going for £400. Selling as I've been taking the rig to gigs only to turn the volume up to less than a quarter. I'm open to trades for an equally high quality smaller rig (specifically for double bass use). Both bought second hand on this forum several years ago for £650

This combo is transparent and incredibly loud thus becoming very popular with both electric and double bass players.

Please note the headphone out does not work on the iamp 350.

Based in London.

3. Sorry, none of my photos will upload, so I'll give the ebay link.

Will sell for £3,400. I'm open to offers as I'm also in the market for a good preamp and possibly a lightweight combo as I'm unnecessarily hauling my Euphonic Audio rig to small gigs.

I'm based in South London.

4. i thought this thread was some kind of joke when i looked at the title :)

There's no reason why you shouldn't get tutored in another genre. I'm actually pretty sure you will progress faster by going through the jazz, latin and funk stuff, instead of a metal specific teacher. Playing fast is just something that will develop through time and like some have already said, there are enough videos out there on techniques such as tapping etc.

Also personally I think the best bass player in metal are those who have these genres behind them and where it shows in their playing style e.g the guys in Cynic, Between the buried and me, Dream theater etc
