  1. I began looking at the HB414cs in August '20. By the time I ordered in October '20, they were out of stock til late December '20.  I ordered on 10 /7, it was shipped on 12/24 and arrived in CA, USA on 12/29.   No longer semihollow. Other wise all the same.  Round wound strings.

Same bridge...no good, when changing strings, 3 of the bridge pieces fell on the floor before I realized it.  What if you were in a gig and broke a string?  The bridge piece would fall out before you were aware and be under the drum kit or in the crowd....you're out of business.

I installed a solid bridge which is adjustable and now have strings through the body to boot!

This is a great bass, a change of the bridge might make it look a little less like that other brand, but it would be great and reliable!

They were in stock when I first looked at th20em in Aug'20.  When I got around to ordering in Oct. they were gone.  They sell out pretty fast.  This is with the new bridge with strings through the body.   A really great bass!

  3. I ordered mine in October '20. They were out of stock. The new order arived at Thoman in late December.  Mine was shipped to Benicia, CA, USA on December 24 and I received it December 29.  I'm kind of a newby, I started in '66 and I was totally amazed by this bass. It looks great, has a great neck and sounds great.  The only thing I found wrong with it is the bridge pieces. I don't care whether it looks similar to that other brand, I just want it to be sturdy.  When I began to change strings, 3 of the bridge pieces fell on the floor before I realized it.  What would happen if you were playing a gig and broke a string?  The bridge piece would fall out and under the drum set before you were even aware ... what then?   You are out of business!   I put another bridge on and had a solid bridge with strings through as well for $30.   Now it's incredible!
