Yahama have a vibration process for their high end stuff to reproduce the effect caused by many years of use which may or may not enhance the properties of wood tonality. Must be something to it if they are prepared to invest large sums of money.Sandberg also do the same thing - their Masterpiece basses are incredible but you're approaching a mid late 70s vintage at that price anyway

Wow that's fantastic. Didn't know Sandberg did a 24 fret 6er. Enjoy!
They'll do most things if you want, the classic series are all 24 fret I think.

Has anyone ordered a hand configured Sandberg this year. I ordered an HCA California back at the beginning of Feb. Although the lead time was six months I was told it could be sooner. Anyone had theirs through in less than six months?
I ordered my Classic Special in Dec and was told it was 7 months, the guys at Bass Direct confirmed last week that they’re still on track for that time frame. It’s a 6 string with a ramp which means its probably more non standard than the California’s so you maybe in luck

That's very very nice. Would probably go passive only but liking that a lot
Dave
I know what you mean but i'm a heathen and thought if the option for the active is there I'd go for it, passive toggle so best of both. I also have a Stu Hamm Urge 2 which I love but the one thing I would change is a passive mode as it's active only.

Valuation assistance please. Fender USA Urge 2 Stu Hamm bass.

If it helps I bought mine from Bass Direct about 2 years ago - 2006, Black with tort guard with Hard Case and it was £1K.
