  1. Hi, Im Pablo from Madrid, Spain, and im so glad having found this forum.

I play the bass with two spanish bands, Durango14 and Comandante Twin. Im not a profesional, but i´ve been playing for almost 15 or 20 years just for fun, and sometimes professionally.

Im a Precision Bass lover, usually i play a ´78 Pbass, an 2014 American Standard, and now a 50th anniversary.... hahaha Thanks Shambo. Also sometimes i play with short scale (Mustang, SG...)

Im not a collector, i love to play all my basses, but i cant deny my attraction for basses and i im always looking for new candies, actually my dream would be to own a guitar/bass store... but sadly i dont think it will be economically profitable...

Anyway ill keep rocking till the end of the times!

Not your common garden, every couple of years Fender anniversary of something or other so slap a shiny sticker on it. This is a rare factory special run with certificate, one of less the 500 worldwide and cost around £1500 when new in 2001.

I snapped this up last year when it was moved on quickly by a couple of Basschat’s usual suspects and I’m moving it on for the exactly the same reason… it’s too damn nice. It’s pretty much mint by my reckoning and I’m scared of damaging a collectable. Since I bought it this has stayed in its case at the very back of the wardrobe. Ideally, I’d like someone to buy it and show it the light of day, but show it carefully because it’s appreciating in value. It comes with its original tweed C&G hardcase, truss rod tool and certificate of authenticity.

First I sourced some Labella 0760M-TB Jamerson flats that string-through. Then I gave it to renowned Bristol luthier Eltham Jones for a thorough set up with a view to keeping it long term. I cajoled him to set it up with a very low action and, for a change, he actually did what I asked. Those fat stiff Labella’s are super low, with no buzz and easy to fret. It quivers if you give it so much as a dirty look and creamy strong fundamental tones are assured. Trial is encouraged at my home in Kingswood, Bristol and I’ll make you a cuppa as you noodle.

£1250 GBP collected from Bristol. Postage in UK is £30 extra. Now £1200 delivered in the UK. I'll gladly consider interest from mainland EU members who have good feedback and presence. I will post at your cost and exact quotes will be obtained for anyone with a serious interest. All trials are very welcome in Bristol. Payment is by cash or bank transfer.
