I have exactly the same one as this. Took it to a rehersal with a new band where i had been previously using my BB 1024x and BB 734A.  The band asked me if i could use this one all the time, they said it was really punchy  and cut through better than the others.

I still prefer my other BBs but i would happily gig with this.

The BB 414 is also lighter than my others and has a slimmer neck

Probably one my favorite colors! Yeah they're great work horse basses :) I must say although I am a P player at heart I have really enjoyed playing on slimmer necked basses, fills and runs are much easier.

  3. For Sale My Vintage White Yammy BB 414

Bought as a back-up bass for gigging but after buying it, I proceeded to break up with the band... typical! The bass has since been in its case, so it’s time for it to go to a new loving home! I have 4 basses in total at the moment.. 4 too many I’m told sometimes! But with my other basses P and a J, I never actually ended up gigging this BB or practicing with it for that matter.

Overall, its in good condition with some signs of wear (dings, chips and bumps) around the jack, some marks on the head stock (see photos) and a few light scratches on the back of the upper horn.

Great punchy BB tone and currently strung with fairly new D’Addario strings (105-45).

This bass is also nice and light @ 9lb 3oz / 4.16 kg

Price: £180 ONO Via Paypal preferably

    Price Drop: £170

    Collection from the Reading Area

Set of the Vintage 4s ordered!

Only ever used Roto flats up to now, so it'll be interesting to see how they compare.

Having played the lovely gold bass above at the Birmingham guitar show in March. I can highly recommend these flats.

They are very similar in feel to La Bella's - not too course or "sticky" feeling like some other flats I've tried.

Really easy to play fresh from the pack with a nice warm tone!

The 3Leaf Octabvre Mini also sounds just like the OC-2, but doesn't suffer from the same lack of volume that the original and Valeton have when soloing the suboctave.

Nice one will listen to some demos

Due to an impending (now postponed) studio date for reamping a couple of tunes with octave sounds, I recently amassed a few pedals on top of the OC-10 I already had. I bought an Aguilar Octamiser, a Redwitch Factotum, a 3 Leaf Octavb're and a TC Sub n Up.... all to experiment with.

When the job is done, It's highly likely that the one I keep will be the Valeton (either in it's standard form or on the Dapper Bass Strip which shares the same octaver). All of them have their own thing going on, they're all good in their own way, but there's just something about the Valeton.

    Hey Nick,

Thanks for the insight! Danny seems to recommend the three leaf too.. will certainly check it out!

What is the durability / build quality like on the Valeton? they a good work horse for gigs?

If you want an OC-2 in small form, the Valeton OC-10 mentioned above is probably the best call.

Thanks for the advice! Other than price how does anyone have any idea how it compares to the Markbass Pedal?
