Bass Pro is all over the States so that's no surprise at all

With the Markbass rack ears it'll be 2 units of a standard 19" rack case, so any 2u case will be big enough. I think it'll fit in a shallow case.

Given the current exchange rate at 1.21 are basses really much cheaper in the USA?

Yes I saw that one, I was quite surprised by it, they have all those roadies etc and he was using a tiny little amp, obviously a caring rocker!
I think the roadies are there to conjure Eddie!

I think that I'm not the only Steve Harris fan around here.

Do you guys use flats for rock?
Yes in an Iron Maiden tribute band

Thanks everyone, sounds rather promising. Nothing wrong with getting myself an early Christmas present, I hope 🙂

Thanks! What cabs do you guys hook these up to? That's a lot of watts...?

As above, I've had one for a few years with no problems whatsoever. Great amp.

I have a SVT7 and much prefer it to any of the Ashdown amps I've tried for it's tightness. Never experienced any issues with it.

Same as above. I keep nail clippers and a file in my gig backpack in case I ever forget to do the job beforehand.

I like Sam. He's got a great voice and if you've seen any of his interviews he comes across as genuinely excited and grateful for the opportunity to play at Eurovision.
Then again, I was also a fan of this little-known metal band that he played with several years ago:

Have you asked them for feedback?

Is this metal or plastic?

Thanks everyone for the replies! My Sunday afternoon task is going to be searching for decent foam 🙂

Hello, I'm seeking opinions from the basschat collective.
I will soon be sending my bass from the UK to the US. I have the option of sending either by sea freight, which takes ~months, or by air freight, which takes ~weeks. The bass will be shipped in a ABS hardcase.
I have no expertise in this area, but currently have the following thoughts.
- naively, I feel that the risk of impact damage to the bass is greater by air freight than by sea freight. (I have no evidence to support this)
- also naively, I feel that the risk of damage via temperature change is greater by sea freight than by air freight. (Again I have no evidence to support this)
- I'd like to pack the bass as well as I can. Does it help to stuff the inside of the case as much as possible with tshirts?
Any thoughts on this?

Remember that bum note you played? Yeah, no one else does. Forget about it and enjoy the rest of the gig.

Hey guys just wondering what ski jump means? Is it just there is too much relief on the neck or is it a problem at the body end of the neck? Ta x

Soundchecks - are they professional?

Agreed with the above, a full but brief sound check every time.
