Have any of you guys checked out the new "GuitarSend Steinberger XT-2DB" that's debuting in September? its a XT-2DB frame with active electronics and a few other modifications, apparently GuitarSend is building the model based off suggestions they have received from professional Steinberger players.
I was interested in replacing my current fender bass with a XT-2DB because of the DB feature anyway but now that the guitar might be available with a better preamp, electronics etc. I think I might just wait until Sept!
I've been looking for a headless bass that is passive. Can't seem to find one, apart from various custom jobs.
Anyone know of any?
cheers!

I am selling my Steinberger XL2. I had it for years but I don't play it anymore.
It is in good conditions – no problems with the electronics, hardware... Frets also in good conditions has the bass has not being played much.
The bass comes with a Steinberger gig bag (not in very good conditions), an extra gig-bad and the string adaptor that allows the use of standard strings.
You are welcome to try it – I live in London SW18.
Price £1500

Take a look at Steinberger; seriously different design that has done well for itself. I personally enjoy the flexibility that the size a weight offers as well as the reduced stress when compared to toting a heavier bass.
I only have a Steinberger GT-Pro right now but I have had both the STeinberger Frettless and fretted five string bass's as well as a four string.
cheers
It's almost impossible to get hold of a new Steinberger in the UK it seems.
I found this site: http://www.guitarsend.com/
Looks suspect to me and price's are rather inflated. Does anyone know if it's legit?
Cheers,

Hi,
My name is Tim; I am a representative for www.GuitarSend.com. We are a legitimate company and we have sent steinbergers to almost every part of the world since our inception.
I would be happy to assist you with any questions you have about Steinbergers: both new or used, thank you.
Unfortunately our prices are higher on new Steinberger models; this is due to the fact that we pay a very high price for these guitars (only slightly less than what a regular US citizen pays for one)
Our pricing on classic pre-gibson 'bergers is generic worldwide however, and I invite you to peruse our website or contact me directly for more info. on Steinberger SS 2F, Steinberger ST-2FPA, Steinberger Spirit, and Steinberger Classic guitars.
Hi all,
Can anyone help with the following .. I need a replacement part for my Steinberger XS Synapse but even the dealer I bought it off can't source it !
It's a cast cylinder that slots into the underside of headstock & allows for normal strings to be fitted (threaded thru then clamped down with hex grub) it's the E (4th) string one I'm after ... ? guess I over tightened it but it didn't take much !
cheers

hi Simon,
Try calling Sweetwater.com, they have been able to find some synapse parts for me in the past when others couldnt. and if that doesn't work let me know
