Hei ! I used my B3 from zoom like a preamp for my double bass, it works great ! not to much punch but still nice, I used a Shadow transducer system.

Booster effect and delays in B3 ZOOM ar really god in combination with shadow pickup systems. But this is only (off course) my opinion.
